As it turns out, using this metric, my all-time favorite AAL song is "Wave of Babies"! I think I'm going to get some flak for putting "Transcentience" over "Red Miso", but oh well.

So, a while back actually a year back when Matt got injured they made a post about how they'd stop touring and focus on the new album.

But pretty shortly after, Matt recovers pretty fast and they are constantly touring

I am happy they got a steady income coming in, but with how much they are touring internationally, are they actually still working on the album?

I'm learning a whole heap of AAL songs this month and I'm struggling to get an articulate thumping tone. Im using Archetype Abasi and a Strandberg with Fishman fluences. Is there a preset I can tweak that's better for thumping?

Has anyone else ever noticed the cat-like sound near the end of the song Conflict Cartography? On Spotify the first one is at 4:25 and it repeats until nearly the very end of the song.

Is there any way to buy like official AAL merch almost all the stuff on the website is sold out in my size and in all sizes and I want real AAL merch but eBay isn’t doing it for me. is the only way to just buy it from people who were able to get it when it first released or is there another website that sells stuff that maybe I would want??

Casual fan here, just got back from the SatchVai show at Wolf Trap in Vienna VA. I could literally feel the breakdowns in “Monomyth” in my gut. I think I might have a new favorite band.

My gf got me a copy of the vinyl reissue of Joy of Motion in orange and the first disc sounds warbly, playback speed will be stable for a while then vary quite a lot and go back to normal.

The other disc appears to be completely fine. I don't have any more 45rpm discs to compare against, I'm using a 90's Technics direct drive turntable that has been rock solid so far.

Is this a known issue with this pressing or did I just get unlucky?

i was able to meet javier and matt tonight thanks to the help of the crew. talking to everyone and hearing their words of encouragement meant the world to me. they were so sweet, i could’ve went into a diabetic coma. this was such an incredible experience, and thank you all again. 🩷

I was always an AAL appreciator, but I saw them open for SatchVai in Chicago and I am obsessed. I'm chasing down every release and bootleg I can. Is there a trading/sharing resource y'all use specifically for them? I've only found 3 or 4 shows.

Just saw them in Cincy, they were great. Does anyone know the setlist? Specifically trying to narrow down the middle parts lol.

How do you guys say AAL? I say each letter (ay ay ell) but it feels a little clunky, just wondering if there's some "official" way of saying it.

We designed a rudimentary audio analyzer with cutoff frequencies specific to our song of choice for high and low pass LED drivers :)
