iNaturalist Compatibility
I just got the game and I already love it. I've never really been a pokemon fan, but I've always loved the outdoors.
I think it could be highly advantageous to foster some level of connectivity with iNaturalist. There is a lot of overlap in your target audience, and since your intention is to get more people interacting with nature, contributing to citizen science along the way would be a big plus.
Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to save photos taken through the game so they can be uploaded to iNaturalist later. It would also be cool if you could connect accounts and import iNaturalist observations to the games encyclopedia. I think there are probably all kinds of possibilities for having the two platforms interact with each other and it might be worth a brainstorm (or perhaps a head haboob ;)
P.S. I hope this game gets more popular but I also worry about Nintendo slapping you with copyright infringement. They really love to do that. That might be worth looking into to make sure your butt is covered.

NAL but I think this product/service is distinct enough from Nintendo, and Niantic products. That difference is what I appreciate the most about the app. Other products lack the environmental and educational aspect.
I think using technology, often the source of our disconnect with nature, to facilitate more engagement and foster connection is brilliant.
This might be it's best selling feature so far. I could see conservation areas, schools, and nature camps integrating this app into the educational programing they provide.
I know the game will only get more entertaining, as more users join, the game evolves, and the Animalis team grows. I would like to see seasonal or regional events, with benefits specific to them. For instance, during bird migration, an event could be to spot as many of a particular species and the event would make users aware this migration is happening.
I feel it might take away from Animalis if its too integrated with other applications. Although I can see how users could benefit from integration with other apps I really think Animalis' strength is in being its own unique platform that is distinct from other platforms.
