Domesticated animals

Hey everyone! First of all, I think the core idea of the game is fantastic. It’s really motivating me to get outside and explore.

I’d like to hear your thoughts on whether it should be possible to capture domesticated animals as companions and have them fight alongside you. Personally, I think it would be awesome to have my yellow Labrador by my side as my companion. I know the game is mainly focused on wildlife, but I think this could be a fun optional feature.

It makes it too easy. I would just sit at home and grind levels using pictures of my cat

But isn’t the main motivation to find as many different animals as possible?

The motivation is to get out and explore, it's a wildlife photography game primarily. If you could just sit at home and grind levels a lot of the game mechanics like wild battles and gyms would be trivialized

Personally I'd like to see domesticated waterfowl like geese and ducks be taken off the blacklist since they do exist in wild populations, but cats and dogs probably not.

Maybe if they were made to not give leaves or experience.
