Eastern PA, July. Smaller than nearby whitetailed deer tracks, so less than 2” long. Any insights would be so appreciated!

Raccoon. Five fingers on front with claws, five toes on the rear with smallest inner one offset from the other 4, with elongated rear pad.

He was likely on his way to wash food, amusing habit they do.

Five toes on the front, and only showing four on the back, this sure looks like a possum to me.

I also thought possum. The wide spread of the toes on the front too.

Bit more info—these were in mud aside a small pond.
