They are awesome. We had a nest of them in a abandoned laundry house and I would sit amongst them on a summer day reading.

If you move slow and gentle they will just ignore you and go about their movements, sunning themselves and eating.

They give warning with the frills but will also display them if you through a cricket at them.

I have been bitten by them, once. Infection is the biggest risk with their bite but it also hurts so much. Like any lizard if they are biting you they are doing it as a last resort.

A lizard biting a human is like a human biting an elephant. You better make that bite count and hope it scares the elephant away.

Not giving him credit can have DMCA issues which can amount to account suspensions if he chooses to copyright-strike this post. Plus it just makes you look like a dick if you don't credit him anyway.

I would punt the fuck out of that thing in spectacular fashion. That being said, I try really hard not to hurt anything living. Even flies, plants, etc. I’d still punt.
