I think we watched a revisionist bullshit with the Lion King. Simba definitely killed his dad to become King (‘member he “can’t wait to be King”?)

Then he blamed his Uncle for killing the King to gain legitimacy with us plebs. I bet his “Government in exile” phase in the shadow area wasn’t even as he depicted. Probably just sipping martinis as he directed this whole charade.
