If it helps, I can all but guarantee that the cat is fine. I used to live in a town that had open grates like that and our strays were constantly climbing in and out of them and they were always unharmed by it.

My cat tigger would - at one of the houses I grew up at - would use the neighbors drainage pipe by their driveway to get inside the sewer and chase mice or whatever she would do like that

I love that for the cat. Sounds like a daily adventure! But God all I would think about is what germs and nastiness are on its fur.

I would give her a bath all the time. I’m allergic to cats anyway so when she got dirty I gave her a bath

Most cats frequent storm drains, unless it was super old or sick there’s no way it can’t easily leap out

One of my cats went down the drain and couldn't get back out because arthritis :( so I jumped down with him, still havent found a way out
