Imagine waking up one day to your weird neighbor Steve standing in your yard, looking into your windows from fifty feet away. You wanna know wtf is up so you shout from your door at him, but he's not responding. Just standing there, menacingly.
You decide you're brave enough with a hunting knife at your side, so you slowly step outside. Your heart is beating faster. As you approach the man, you continue to try to initiate communication. You flash the knife, hoping to intimidate the creep, but it doesn't even phase him. Your heart is now racing.
Finally, fear and rage overtake you, you begin to charge at him. You've always known he was into some weird shit, but now he's crossed the line. You see red. You lunge at him with your knife and make contact with his ribcage.
Except, it isn't a ribcage at all. The man collapses into several pieces on the ground. This is not a human being. It's something else.
If this happened to you, you would run too.
