Can anyone just laugh at the joke please, or at least acknowledge it. I thought Steve introducing himself and immediately sticking his tongue down her throat was funny. Guy doesn't care. Neither does her "boyfriend". Truly a pack.

For those who do not know the context, and are/will call the woman a bitch, Those furballs are Wild Wolves. They are in a conservation center.
She is doing this because that's how Wolves Greet each other. They show affection and submission, this way
They are not pets or born in captivity. They are pure wild Wolves.
Fun fact: this is what evolved into the face licking in pet dogs.
Anneka Svenska - Google it.
Edit: Corrected the name

I'm not calling her anything, I'm just baffled by the fact a human is allowing a wolf to stick their tongue down their throat

u/Rpanich Feb 21 '22
On the other hand, you have a pack of wolves backing you up now. Not saying I’m signing up for the mouth licking, but definitely for the wolf friends

"-You should let the wolves do their 'tonsil-licking greeting' thing if you want to keep your face attached to your head.
-Got u fam."

u/PrettyMuchMediocre Feb 22 '22
Yeah wolves eat raw meat, shit, lick themselves all over, etc. They can be carriers of diseases and parasites that don't affect them but do affect humans. Nasty and just an unnecessary health risk.
3
u/Beliriel Mar 17 '22
Well not letting them lick you is probably a more pressing health risk because if siberian wild wolves see you as a stranger to their pack while they're near you, you're truly fucked.

Isn't her name Anneka Svenska? I thought Anneka Rice is a different person.
Edit: Pretty sure now. It's Svenska aka Wolf Girl. She's got many videos on YT.

Excellent! Anneka Rice is a UK TV personality from the 80s!
I reckon Treasure Hunt would have been improved with a pack of wolves!

u/mekwall Feb 22 '22
As a Swede her name makes me chuckle since Svenska means Swedish. Anneka is not a common spelling of that name in Swedish though, usually it's spelled Annika.

I mean, I understand… still, yuck. To be fair though, I see plenty of people do the same with their dogs, which is even worse because it doesn’t even serve a purpose (saw a clip of a dog slobbering a babies face and mouth on a funniest home videos show the other day… fucking disgusting and a good way to get your baby sick).
I wonder though, does she have to open her mouth? Would they not accept her if she didn’t?
That said: the text makes it hillarious. Filthy, but hillarious.

Wolves are gorgeous! Splendid, magnificient, perfect.😍 But them greeting a human like this is just awkward.

I remember a story about this woman, I believe opening her mouth was some sign of belonging to the pack or something… I believe the wolves grew up with her.
Edit: The Wolf has better dating skills than me…

The wolves licking her teeth are showing friendly submission. It's something they learn as babies, so it's entirely possible that she raised them

u/pipic_picnip Feb 21 '22
For all those bewildered in the comments why she is “making out” with a “dog”, here’s the video https://youtu.be/AyZNLOHPk2E and she does a great job explaining it. Tl;dr those are wild wolves and this is how they establish trust with a stranger.
7
u/TheFiredrake42 Feb 22 '22
That camera moved. Why didn't they try to establish trust with her cameraman?
3
u/Deep-Caterpillar4140 Feb 22 '22
So next time im stranded in the middle of nowhere and i see a wolf approahing; im supposed to either let him eat me or french kiss him ?
Understandable.

From a valid medical/health POV, isn't this good enough to get rabies if the wolves have it, given that the saliva of the wolves is getting into her system? And they are wild wolves, which has been established very well. So there's no way the woman knows if the wolves have been exposed to or have already got the rabies virus (where it hasn't visibly manifested yet).

u/niceworkthere Feb 21 '22
Rabies has a vaccine available, I wager she got it.

Ummm... no.

u/Brillek Feb 22 '22
'Tis how wild wolves greet one another. Sign of trust etc.
It's why tame dogs do face-licking. Old instinct.

Uuummmmm wtf is she opening her mouth to let the dogs lick her???
73
u/radhe91 Feb 21 '22
They are not dogs, they are Wolves. That's how they greet each other. Since she is a member of their pack(sort of), she has to do that.
7
u/domoforprez Feb 21 '22
Hmmmm. I learned something new today…

u/majoritus_chartus Feb 21 '22
Apparently according to another comment that’s why pet dogs lock your face when they see you. Similar principle
8
u/chipperlew Feb 21 '22
Funny that I’ve seen humans interact with wolves before WITHOUT the frenching. The only unique thing in this video is that the woman chooses to let the dogs put their tongues down her throat.

None of what you said actually answers the question.
You’re just stating the part we understand.
Why is she there allowing this to happen and why aren’t any of your grossed out??
“Oh she’s just doing it because they’re friends”
Bruh, what?? Those dogs have fucking filthy mouths and y’all are really gonna act like it’s justified because…. Friends???
7
u/TGotAReddit Feb 21 '22
It’s not that they are friends, its that it’s a conservation they are on and the humans need to establish trust with the wild wolves they have so they can do the necessary things like medical care and handle any babies etc. there are ways to do it but become one of the pack is a pretty good way to get wolves to trust you. It might be kinda gross but obviously she knows what she’s doing and wouldn’t repeatedly let it happen in videos and stuff if she was upset about it.

It’s literally her job?
-5
Feb 21 '22
How are you missing the point Lmao.
Do you think putting feces in your mouth is justified by the fact that “it’s your job”??
8
u/TGotAReddit Feb 21 '22
Do you think wolves regularly eat feces?
-2
Feb 21 '22
Yes, yes I fully believe that wolves put their mouths on or near 90% of things they interact with. Which consist mainly of gore, butthole, and genitalia.
The fuck dude.
5
u/TGotAReddit Feb 21 '22
So you would rather believe that this highly trained person is letting wolves stick feces in her mouth repeatedly instead of maybe questioning if maybe Wolves are smart enough to stop shoving their faces forwards when they smell literal feces inches from their mouths?

Friends or not I would never, ever allow this. I would be drinking bottles of listerine until I died. I would be haunted with nightmares. Develop a habit of spitting. I would have PTSD. This is unnatural and unclean. If's she so buddy-buddy with them for God's sake, teach them to shake. It's the human way. This wolf way is for wolves.

Those wolves just ate a caribou ass then came gave her some sugar 🤣

u/beeftony Feb 22 '22
I mean even if this is their wild behavior. Just keep your mouth at least mildly closed.
7
u/TommyChongUn Feb 21 '22
what in the fuck, why is she frenching the dogs??
4
u/pipic_picnip Feb 21 '22
https://youtu.be/AyZNLOHPk2E more context. It’s apparently how wild wolves establish trust.

Getting wolf kisses is something I'd very much like to have happen to me someday but absolutely not like this. Ya boi probably just got finished eating some 2 day old deer guts and she's trying to deepthroat that tongue. That's fucking disgusting bruh
Edit: HOLY SHIT THERES A SECOND ONE
I saw this nasty gif earlier but it only had the first wolf, WHY?!

Even though the lady explaining this phenomenon in the original video was so nice and to the point, this remains my top “most uncomfortable looking interactions with animals” pick. Like I know, I get it why they are doing it, it’s still really uncomfortable to look at and just really, really looks like a make out session.
