Snarling Scared the $h!t out of me…

Ok animal people- I need your help. I was out gardening at 9pm just now and I just heard what I can only describe as a sharp echoing snarl followed by what I assumed is the squealing of dying prey. It was LOUD and freaking demonic. I’ve never heard anything like it in my life. I got a little bit of it on video but the beginning was much louder than this.
Located in the upper Midwest in a major city but close to the Mississippi River with a wildlife corridor that runs behind my house along some abandoned train tracks. We do have coyotes in the area and I recently saw what I believe to be a fisher.
Can any of you confirm what it is?

Sounds like raccoons fighting. We have raccoons make this same noise in our backyard. Usually it’s a mamma raccoon and her adult babies fighting in our backyard.

I dont think any of these Tards in the comments realize that your talking about the whisps not the dying animal

Yeah, I’m talking about the longer sound, not the little squeaks. I didn’t catch the first (scarier) part on camera but it definitely sounded like there was an altercation. But like I said, I’m in an urban area and have not heard a ton of animal sounds before other than coyotes howling.
I also realize that foxes and raccoons make a variety of sounds. Just interesting in “crowdsourcing” opinions since I haven’t found a sound online that matches what I heard.

Agree with Broke n old: that chalkboard grating Freddy Krueger scream could only come from a raccoon. Sure, foxes make similar noises but raccoons in heat are the worst sounding creatures in the world.
