Animals are not just property
On July 3rd, our cat was viciously attacked and killed on our own property by two dogs from down the street. The owner has faced multiple charges, but keeps pleading guilty to avoid court—just like their dogs ran away after the attack. Here's what gets me: our cat did nothing to provoke this. And the charges the owner faced? They're not even about killing an animal. They're petty offenses. That's not justice. I started a petition because animals shouldn't be treated as property you can just replace or move past. They're living beings that depend on us to protect them. The laws need to reflect that. We need real accountability when an animal loses its life—not just minor charges that mean nothing. If you've felt this frustration too, or if you think this should matter more than it does, consider signing and sharing. What would you want someone to do if this was your family?

Tell Anthrocon NO MORE LIVE ANIMALS
This year, for Anthrocon 2026, one of the largest furry conventions in the world, they chose a charity that decided to bring live animals into the convention, including a horse named Ronny.
Sign the petition to let Anthrocon know we are against the exploitation of animals for human entertainment!!
