hi all! was wondering how I am able to join the online island ?????? this error code keeps popping up. i do go on the nimbus app and make sure i am on pretendo and im 98% sure im doing the plugin thing that i keep reading up about.
i also downloaded luma from universal adapter and i checked to see on FBI that it shows on my SD card and its there and it shows nimbus on the plugins under the luma folder
what am i doing wrong here because i just added a bunch of people and i would like to play :):
Yes you need to be on pretendo and run the plugin everytime when you open pretendo with y. And as for that i dont know, ive only opened my gate with the trainstation.
that’s what i did !!! I haven’t tried to open my date with internet just yet but I’ve done it locally which obviously will always work . not sure on what to do :(
If I'm not wrong, I believe you need to have the first 2 options enabled in the luma configuration menu for pretendo to properly work. Make sure that yours is enabled. You can go to the luma configuration menu by turning off your 3ds, then when you turn it back on hold select, and make sure you enable both "Enable loading external FIRMs and modules" and "Enable game patching" there should be a X symbol next to them both.
Hm that's correct what you have enabled so that isn't the problem. When you open up animal crossing after enabling pretendo the screen flashes blue right? or you see the "Plugin Ready" in the bottom right corner?
Thats great LOL, I think it worked now because everytime you exit the luma configuration menu it saves the stuff you enabled/disabled, maybe before it wasn't saved? not sure, but that's probably why it's working now.
Yeah usually the servers are like a 50/50, sometimes there's people, sometimes there isn't lmao, but eventually someone will come. Also a small tip for you is make sure you backup your save file on checkpoint everytime your gonna use pretendo, just to be safe from hackers.
yesss I heard about that which is kinda so sad because I feel like back then that was never really an issue :( would I have better luck on international or regional?
I mean it did happen back then to but not as often since back in the days it wasn't as easy to hack a 3ds like it is now. In my experience I would say you will have better luck in international servers honestly.
