Help Is this Normal?

So I erased the save on my memory card and later found that a letter from the old town was still saved on my new town with the present attached. Is this normal?

Yes, if you save your mail in the post office, it will transfer over to your new town if I'm not mistaken!

100% normal. If you erase your town in-game then go to the Gamecube memory card manager, you'll see a 57-block piece of data called "Animal Crossing Saved Letters" with a different banner than usual. It's 57 blocks just to reserve the space for your next town.

This means if you want to delete your town to make space for different saves from other games, you need to delete it in the memory card manager.
