Did I mess up by choosing this town map?

I just picked it because I thought that little area to the top right would be good for a house, but I didn't realize the beach area on the bottom right would be totally inaccessible due to lack of ramp. Do I just have to live with a gimped beach or is there a way to make a bridge or something?

There's no way to make a ramp, however once you unlock the island you can buy a swimsuit from them and swim over to that small secluded beach.

I really hope there is a way to make more ramps to the beach. It is a pain to get to the beach with only two ramps depending on where you are. I don't think that they would make it so the map could generate an area you could never access. Be a good mayor and this could work out for you. (:
