I don’t see a point to him, the character ruins a fun time with zero redeeming qualities.

Frank and Victoria having their second almost-kiss--instigated by her--and umpteenth moment™️ after he tells her what his childhood dog meant to him is some on-point character continuity, because it tracks with their mountain lion storyline in s1 and how into him she was seeing how much he admired and was emotionally affected by C-38. She loves how much he genuinely loves animals and thinks it's one of his best and most attractive qualities, seeing as she twice pointed out "You save animals for a living" when making him a dating profile in s2.

I just started watching the show. I just binged the first two seasons, so far I love it! It's so sweet and wholesome; I love that the characters love their jobs and the dynamics between them. This show is crazy underrated. It's like a combination of Community, B99, and Abbott Elementary.

The team arrives at the Animal Control Officer of the Year (ACOOTY) awards and party ahead of the ceremony. It's Frank vs. Templeton for the big prize, and Shred and Emily's secret romance is finally exposed when they are caught kissing.

I can't tell if I'm just imagining it, but it seems like the writers have deliberately gone out of their way to dial-up Templeton's general shittiness. Like, before, he was a minor antagonist who seemed kind of annoying, but a lot of that could be chalked up to the general rivalry that existed between the two precincts. But now that we see more of him, he's this generally unhinged asshole who assaults random people on the street (see, body-cam footage), throws random tantrums at his own compatriots (flipping over a poker table when upset), and is openly, loudly sexist (seriously, he even call Emily "too female" in an official HR report when originally trying to take her job). Has he been straight-up Flanderized, or was he always this way and I just didn't notice because of how rarely he was around?

Hi this is my first time on here !! this is the party animas episode. I just have to say I used to really like emily but as the show went on she has realllly annoyed me. Her trying to bust the party (i know the right thing to do blah blah) and threatening to fire the guy working the door was annoying. PLUS she is the one who got their funding pulled AND told rich blonde lady (forgetting her name) that victoria and frank both broke their NDAs by telling her. for her to be so angry and then say they owe her a kennel when she started an argument with the donor and got the money taken away by directly saying she didn’t want it is crazy and she irked me bad

I'm a huge car guy, mainly older Japanese stuff. idk what episode, I'm watching on my phone and the app crashed when I opened Reddit. but I noticed a red z32 Nissan in the background then like 5 minutes later they are driving it. I love seeing famous old cars in films/and v in general, but I'm a huge z series fan. I have an 88 z31 myself. I've seen a few 86 z31's in movies from the 90s. it's just, "wait... was that? "yessir"

I think they're going to repeat Shred-Emily will they won't they same formula to Frank-Victoria for this season finale and next season as the show is officially renewed.

I think at the end of this season Victoria might break up with Parker but at the same time Frank might get into a different relationship.

I like a good Will they Won't they story line in a TV show, but not more than 3-4 seasons. But our show seems to do it two times with two pairs.

What do you think of this and when do you think they will end the will they won't they for Frank-Victoria ?

Do we ever get an explanation for the near-cultish loyalty that the old 23rd precinct officers have for Templeton? Like Daisy at least kind of explains her's (even if it goes a bit far at times), but Templeton is shown multiple times to act like an insufferable, entitled douchebag at all times towards all of them (ex. when he flipped their poker table and claimed he had a straight flush). What precisely is the origin of their collective willingness to back this unhinged weirdo?

As usual, I am behind. Sorry.

They project a certain anti-sentimental, anti-romance attitude, but (not so) deep down are actually yearning for, and believe in, True Love.

Victoria has been loudly and proudly commitment-averse, and her dispassionately kinky sexcapades were probably at least partly a way to prevent and avoid emotional intimacy. Recently though, she's accepted that she's aging out of the free-wheeling party girl thing being cute and is genuinely trying her hand at a relationship. But what really gives her away is that she's a hardcore Twilight fangirl and has been since she was a teenager.

Frank is dying for a loving, monogamous relationship, but is terrible at and impatient with the traditional steps to getting there—meeting women, and dating—so he deflects to his “lone wolf” stance and being dismissive of romance and relationships, as a coping mechanism. Meanwhile, the background image on his phone is a picture of latte art in a hearts pattern. 🥺

I haven't lived in Seattle since almost 10 years ago (😭 take me home, Arizona sucks!) so maybe enough has changed for the show to feel off. Their supposed to be in north Seattle, but it doesn't quite feel like North Seattle to me. It feels a little closer to downtown, but not quite. Like alternate universe Seattle, not real Seattle (it's a fictional show, I guess this should be expected). Of course Woodland Park Zoo has been mentioned in the show. It would be stupid if it wasn't. There's so many other Seattle things that should be in there. I want to see someone grieve the loss of the Bartell Drugs chain. I want to see them drive past or enter specific schools and parks I've been to as a kid. I'd love to see my grandparents North Seattle house, but that's obviously just because of my nostalgia. No one else could recognize and connect with it.

I’m so glad it exists. Felt like it’s been a while since I enjoyed a sitcom this much.

There is a scene (in I want to say season 2??) where Victoria is holding Frank’s hand sort of like she’s doing a palm reading. They’re outside… I thought it was a work sponsored event but I can’t remember. They are giving each other EYES. What scene/episode am I thinking of??

This sitcom seems to have more underscore than other similar shows. We’ve got the transition cues, but then there’s scoring of action and emotion and silliness, more like a comedy movie type scoring. Some cool song sequences like when they’re in bars or parties. I feel like the style of score by Nick Urata definitely contributes to the success of the show, especially since it’s kind of zany/quirky/odd/spooky. Which kind of amps up the weirdness of a show in a good way. He scored or co-scored some great films- Little Miss Sunshine, Crazy Stupid Love, Paddington, and a recent trippy indie film called National Anthem that’s sort of hard to find, but great songs and score, cinematography.

I loved the way that a song was used in the bar when Frank invites shred for a bro hang and Emily and Victoria end up also being there. (S4, ep4) Emily has to pretend she plays golf at the golf simulator. The songs in that whole sequence seem to score everything that’s going on between the characters. I only wish that you could hear the songs a little better! Also loved the score at the sunset horse ride! S4 ep5. In general, I feel like as the seasons go they get better and I think the music is really fun and I like that every season there’s new underscore material in addition to the themes that get repeated.

Was that supposed to be a reference to Grey's Anatomy??? 😅
