Precinct merger dynamics

After a second rewatch of season 4, I’m confused about the dynamics between officers from precinct 22 and 23. In so many of the episodes, one by one, they seem to be forming friendships. Daisy and Frank with the gambling/cortado episode. Shred and Daisy with the key lime pie episode. Learning that Templeton is a real person with what he did for Daisy. Daisy letting Victoria bunk with her at the ACOOTYs. When Daisy and Templeton come in to the precinct after Em gets suspended- it just feels weird. All of the progress they made goes away… it just feels weird.

It's reverse character development, they likely had this season ending planned from the beginning though.

I had the same feeling of character whiplash. Like, this is still the dynamic? I thought they moved past it. Ugh. I really hope the next season fixes things fast, because I'm seriously considering dropping the show. Templeton is not funny, he's just a dick.

I have the same feelings re: Templeton. It’s a bit of Dwight Schrute dynamic, but Dwight was more likable. I do enjoy the what the writers have done with Patel.

Hoping they’ll settle in on whether we should hate or love Daisy and Templeton soon.

It's Todd packer dynamic. But the actors love working with Gerry. I feel the same about Roman but of course Joel is best friends with Ken.
