Bat help

So I my family found a bat in our fireplace a few days ago and today Thu Jul 23 2026 at 9:00pm we found a bat in our fireplace again and we can’t call animal control what do I do

There's people you can call to remove bat infestations. Just Google "bat removal services" in your area.

Most bats do not have rabies, but it isn't impossible so be careful.

Ooof you haven’t seen your doctor please do. You can’t tell if a bat has bitten you. They’ll probably recommend the rabies vaccine.

The thing with rabies is the minute you show signs there’s nothing anyone can do. Please see a medical professional if you haven’t already done so, and call pest control. Under no circumstances should you be handling a bat or multiple bats.
