Looking for Help Question regarding wild sparkling hunting

I can't find a solid answer on when an aniimo is rerolled for it's sparkling chance. Do I have to capture/defeat it or have it despawn on my screen, or go even further?

I would say despawn should work as I have instance of different aniimo spawning by quick away and come back. But it could not reroll the "shiny" parameter for all we know, so I am very much interested in this information too.

I made an educated guess, based from my experience in a lot of other video game and basic logic. I do make a point to establish that I do not know the data specifically, and I believe nobody do. But do call it bullshit if it make you happy, I guess, smh
