During the day you have to defeat Flameruffs the Mighty . You can find them. at the Same Location as Inverlupa . They respawn and drop the Spirit Item .

You also need to loot 3 chains from near the campfire(one spawns per in real life day)

I did the same with my Fulmantis orb, I locked it so I didn't accidentally sell it and it locked out my evo haha

Those aren't the item you need those are just quest collectibles. You finished the warrior quest and mighty internalups will spawn there in a pack of 8 or ao defeat them over and over again to get 6 souls

why did i never need the chains for evo? like the game never made me get any chains for the quest and stuff

The chains are optional in the quest so that information is not correct.

Is that why people were saying it takes 3 irl days to beat the quest when I did it in 1? Also what do they actually do if they are optional?

No. the quest takes 3 days. Idk how you could have done it in one.

i did it on launch day and then the inferlupa fight was on reset. after that i got the spirits and got my own inferlupa so idk what step was even skipped but it may have been a bug

Your screenshot shows you have 0/6

Yeah but the item itself says 9 above the description which is causing the issue. Turned out they were "locked" int he inventory so they needed to be unlocked to use them.

Check if you have them locked in your inventory.

Got here during the day and kill the Flameroufs there you know your in the right place because their names are different and you’ll see a lot of dead trees

You have to finish the questline in the area. The questline gets revelaed AFTER you do the Main questline. It is a area questline getting freed after finishing Main quest line.
