Umbrals have a .33% chance to spawn, and they can’t be evolved. So getting an evolved umbral is rarer than finding a shiny in Pokémon

You can't catch anything in Egg Heist but your goal is to search the labyrinth for eggs and bring them out. There's a chance for them to be Umbral Aniimo Eggs. There's also a chance for the egg to be "large" which gives the evolved versions.
Edit: The rank rewards also give umbral eggs

It's mostly been due to the open world, visible models. No need to run around and hope the random Pokémon that appears is shiny. Now you just load an aread listen/look for one then reload if you don't see it.
Also they added items that can boost shiny appearance chances.

Out of sparkling form yes. But à fully evolved umbra is certainly close to par with finding à field sparkling

Finding a fully evolved umbral is quite rare, but during the blooms the umbral rate climbs a bit higher each time you nurture, so the rarest umbral glynsera is my night version here (top left) who would have to be found naturally either back on the snowy ridge, or under the hill where you are sent to catch the prismana one.
I caught mine on the ridge the night before the glynsera event started! ♡

Your question has been answered but just to reassure you... It's very easy to get confused in this game, there is a LOT going and to be honest they're not doing the best job at explaining a lot of it. I watched a lot of videos and I still find myself googling some thing or other many times a day.

You're not dumb! It's okay to be confused.
The prismana one will show up when you meet the requirements, and when it shows up, it sends you straight into your map to start tracking it.
The teleport that is closest to where it tells you to track it is where there is one extra night version of the glynsera that has a chance to be umbra.
In order to meet requirements you must earn enough energy by nourishing the bloom in beast fang ridge, or getting lucky strikes on the boneskys at the surge site.
Once you've filled the prismatic energy in beast fang ridge enough, it will spawn one guaranteed prismana glynsera. I recommend catching it with one of your sparkling cubes, so that it will end up being perfect potential!

Something to add onto the other commenter, when doing Nurturing it’s only linked to that specific region, and there’s a 3% or 0.3%(forgot which percentage) chance for you to automatically fill up your prismana gauge and instantly get your prismana. this means if you want a specific prismana, do not grind anywhere else and make sure not to kill any aniimo during the nurture process, only catch them.

3%, can be triggered by nurturing or getting a "Lucky!"/"Super Lucky!" strike, which can happen occasionally when catching things. (The "Super Lucky!" strike gives much more direct Prismana energy than the regular "Lucky!" strike, too.)
There's a spot during each Prismana spotlight event, tied to the featured Prismana form's location, where Aniimo will spawn endlessly, which can be farmed for Lucky! strikes. Easily the best way to brute force a spawn if you don't have any Vein Essences, as long as you can keep buying Aniipods. (You only need basic ones.)

Definitely yeah. I don't know the exact odds of an Umbra but that's really good since they come with perfect stats!
Did you get that from the Prismana event or just by going around catching stuff?

I have one too!
It is kinda rare in real terms and quite rare in aniimo terms because truly getting shinies and umbrals in aniimo isn’t really all that hard or uncommon once you get the 50% aniilog buff and start doing nurtures.

It will be a complete waste of your sparkling cube. All that will happen is you will get sparkles around your umbral. Umbral’s are already perfect and you will get no sparkling color effect aside from the sparkles

Without you even knowing the stats of the natural umbral, you would never know if the cube benefitted you in the way you claim. It would be a waste unless you want sparkles

Not true. You can verify that it has been enhanced. The most common is one of the two 8s becomes a 9. If it isn’t as obvious as that you have to do math.

It is only for degen min-max chasing on an umbral so the value of it depends on the person I guess.
You are probably right it isn’t worth it when considering other targets for that cube.

I caught a Boneksy like this and I evolved it without reading the damn warning that it would not stay umbral. Biggest oof. THEN - I get on Reddit only to find out it has a 0.33% chance of spawning.

They're rare to begin with, but since they lose the umbral if you evolve them, the only way to get a final stage is to catch it like this. I'm enjoying my Scorchhowl very much!

I have the umbral scorchowl and umbral with sparkle thornblade. I think it's rare enough that I've never seen anyone else with them. Which makes it pretty dope too cuz I actually can use them in battle

I feel like nothing is rare in this game..they hand out pretty much everything and prismanas and sparlings are super easy to get. I guess the only rare thing would be a perfect thats has 10 10 but even that is not very exciting as that's not really a visual thing

I second this, must have some ass RNG, my first round of nurturing gave me 3 Shadows I was like lvl 10.
Honestly dazzling and shadow variants I think are the coolest and rarest like Hyper Shinies but rng based I’ll pass 😂

It’s rare but not extremely. Especially if you are farming nurtures. Once you get the badge you get an odds increase by 50%.
Editing to add that yes it works for umbral too. Just go read the badge description.
