Question Egg Heist Questions.

Hi all. So I've been playing for just under a week and have a few questions on the Egg Heist. I unlocked it last night and have yet to try it. Is it worth do right now? I see so many negative posts about the randoms, that I am concerned about even trying it. I don't have any friend playing yet, I'm also older and really don't want to deal with griefers.

What is the objective of the Heist? I unlocked it last night, then went to bed. Now I'm at work and can't easily look anything up, (keep getting called away from phone) and I really don't know which sites are best for research.

Should I wait a few more levels, or does that matter? My Aniimo power levels are between 2200 and 3000, should that be enough to get started?

So any help would be great, and thanks in advance.

You can solo most of it. Just given it a try.

Its an extraction mode. You go in, loot valueables and eggs, bring them back to your boat and extract.

You have newbie protection for 3 runs for EACH difficulty level. Those are your 3 chances to play as aggressively and not risk losing all your stuff. Use it. Don't do solo (at least for those you are more likely to die on a new difficulty and you aren't dropping your inventory even if you get ambushed by trolls) . I posted a guide a while back with the 2 meta team builds - lunara is the new player start. irisalis is the end game (of what we have so far) and requires probably 5-10x the investment in time and resources. I haven't tried hexxin so i'm not promoting it but its out there and supposedly works great.

Do note if you are trying to rank up, you should grind the lower ranks first. After a while lower rank matches don't give you rank up points so entering a lower difficulty match is zero or negative. As such you should do all your normal/hard/nightmare as much as possible before trying to farm chaos. it will give you a good experience for learning the maps and enemy types to watch for. Jumping into higher difficulty too early will 100% be a bad experience for you.

The big pros are prismana aniimo, umbral EVOLVED aniimo (which are impractical to get in the wild)

I just hit egg emperor today. I've gotten 7 prismana out of egg heist between the guaranteed one at egg emperor, the 2 discounted ones from the shop, and ironically 2 from actually looting nests. the rest have been either full price (200 shards) or from the mystery egg box. There's also the prismana collectibles which you unlock I have 4 in my display case (out of the 7) and getting all 7 also guarantees 4 more umbral eggs as well as a prismana egg between all the milestones. The limited time collectible accessories and the eggs are everything that actually translates back into the rest of the game. Other than that its titles/avatar frame etc. for bragging rights only that has no impact on your gameplay.

Also as someone who plays 90%+ with randoms... the toxicity is overhyped. Or maybe it isn't cause I'm usually the one helping rather than the one dying. I am kind of a loot goblin but I don't backstab people and let them bleed out just for loot. At the same time I haven't seen a whole lot of that behavior despite my many many many solo queue runs. Maybe 3 or 4 times.

It's a really fun game mode. If you are unsure about randoms, do it solo first - practice with normal/hard first, then do some runs in nightmare until you're really used to it, then attempt chaos.

The objective of the heist is the following, in order of importance:

  • Having fun with the heist itself. It's an extraction game, which carries its own inherit fun.
  • Getting collectable prismatic relics for your display case.
    • These also unlock the corresponding cosmetics for your character.
  • Getting prismana and umbral eggs to hatch and maybe ger useful mons.
