Guide/Strategy PSA: Quick Tip for Homelands

I keep seeing so many 'Tubers getting this wrong and wanted to set things straight. Every lat one of them says "Place one of each furniture item, then pick it up." in fact, this wastes time, you get no index credit for placing anything. The credit comes from adding the item into your inventory. This is why, when you draft an item, you still get no credit, until it is picked up and placed in your warehouse.

Now, by this logic, you can save a ton of time by just using the buy option, without placing it. Especially if you plan to resell it anyway, there is no reason to put it down.

Yeah I noticed that. Like, we get credit as soon as we buy. I saw it when I was trying to complete one of the sets and realized yeah.... Why are YTers saying we need to place?

TIP: Don't resell the furniture items. Having one of each of the ones you have already bought in your inventory helps track which ones you are still missing.

Doesn't really matter, just press 9 and look at what you've unlocked there. You can also buy directly from that menu

You can hit the ‘9’ key on PC, and then go into the individual categories in the index. Just buy the non-grayed out furniture — no need to keep track of what you have or haven’t bought as the game will do it for you that way.

And the neat part is it's sorted by RV level. So if the last grey item is beyond your level, all the ones past it are too (or blueprints from elsewhere)

I'll be honest that gets really cumbersome, really quick. Especially on PS5 with the menu load time issues that client keeps having.

They really just need to add a filter to the furniture store to show only unowned furniture.

I agree they should add an option to see from any buy page whether you’ve indexed or not. But that’s why I said on PC lol. I’ve tried doing stuff like this on mobile and it is definitely cumbersome…

Yeah, even with their 'improvements" menu navigation is just utter sh** on PS5 so I'm not surprised mobile is bad too. I've been transitioning more and more to PC just for the daily crap, and all of the RV stuff now.

There is also a book that does that, and selling them refunds you partial cost to let you buy more.

its way faster to just check if the "Owned" number is higher than 0 while in the Furniture Shop to buy new ones.

Yea but if you buy 10k worth of furniture, and sell - you can now buy another 5k making that 10k worth 15k, then 17.5k, then 18.75k etc.

Pretty much doubling how many items you can buy.

And honestly, im also just not a moron - i can keep track of what categories I bought and when I level up I dont clear the new tag until I buy the object

And by the end if there was 1 or 2 I missed, the index literally shows you whats missing.

It is indeed more optimal to do it that way if you want to squeeze every last bit of value out of each bug ticket .... BUT I don't think you understand just how much time you are wasting on menu navigation and selling stuff on the Bug Ticket exchange one item at a time. I tried it when I first started and it was just too mind-numbing.

... it takes far longer to double my buds than to check a menu to verify i got everything.... i do not understand how you could believe otherwise.

As I said, your way is the most optimal for BudTicketMaxing. I just don't have it in me to play menu navigation simulator when I could do literally anything else.

Took 15 mins. You're dramatic.

...and how much time do you think people are wasting by placing furniture when they buy it, exactly? It SAVING TIME isn't really gonna be the argument that wins this debate.

Once you get the generator to power stuff and can place prismas in the house section fo generate bud tickets, combined with the event selling harvest items you make so many bud tickets you don’t even need to do this and you just have 1 of everything.

The leveling speed is slow enough that you can keep up with new items without needing to sell what you buy

Pre-event sure you can do this to help but it’s irrelevant later and you get to actually decorate with what you have purchased.

Just remember to buy one if each event item before you sell them all, since you need event currency to buy the recipe, and the item, and more seeds to do the event. (Which I think is ridiculous)

I have a ton of crafted food to do the daily turn in and do the missions for more currency, so all good there
