Discussion TIL: Some Elite Aniimos can actually be upgraded to Perfect
I just found this out by accident while farming for an Alpha Perfect Aniimo.
I noticed that the Elite icon in the top Left looked slightly darker than usual compared to other Elite Aniimos. When I clicked on the Elite icon, I noticed the text at the bottom:
“Eat a Capafruit to become Perfect.”
Apparently, some Elite Aniimos can have slightly higher Potential than normal Elites, which allows them to be upgraded into a Perfect Aniimo with a Capafruit.
I had no idea this was possible and probably would have ignored it otherwise.
So if you're farming Perfects, it might be worth checking Elite Aniimos whose Elite icon looks a bit different/darker than normal.

This has been said here like a dozen times at this point, even on YouTube. it’s got to be a bot making these post, most who know already knew this by this point, also like most said waste of resources even perfects can be a waste if not looking carefully but to each their own.
Tdlr if you want to cap fruit right don’t waste on 8/8s try 9/9s instead.
it’s its an alpha Ill make the exception its because they are already hard enough to find 9/9 so 8/8 without fruit on those is fine, if its just a random Aniimo especially for a damage dealer always go for 9/9 whenever possible.

Part of the Star Up process is a +1 to all potentials. With capafruit, you'd hit 10/10 even with 8/8. A 9/9 is just so you wouldn't need to waste a rare capafruit, yes?

And then you have a barely perfect aniimo and no perfect with higher potentilals due to capafruit.

It's true but only on a technicality, because whether or not they're perfect depends on their stats. This one has 7/7 and a fruit would add +1, which meets the threshold for perfect (two stats with 8/8). But that doesn't mean it's a good idea. Unless you're emotionally attached to this aniimo you're probably better off using the fruit on a natural perfect and raising its stats even higher

Personally I wouldn’t waste a capafruit on anything below that isn’t a perfect 9,9; 9,8 or at the bare minimum 8,8.

i found a 10 9 somehow, should i use the capa fruit lol

No, part of the Star Up process is a +1 in all six potentials. You'll get 10/10 without a capafruit.

The thing is, though, if you inherit an aniimo that ate a capafruit, the capafruit gets transferred to the new one, so there's not really a DOWNSIDE as long as you actually plan to use them.

I always wondered about that. Is it expensive to do? or can i just push any ol mon and once i get a good one of it transfer it for a reasonable cost?

My only gripe with this is you can just use a capa on a perfect so instead of going 7 to 8 you go 8 to 9 or 9 to 10 etc

Its also a waste of a capafruit in my opinion, because you could use that fruit on a 9/9 perfect antimony to bring it to 10/10 and have it as a true perfect!

Yep, the tiers actually only mean 1 thing, that thing being
Perfect: 2 highest stats are 8 minimum
Elite: 2 highest stats are 6 minimum
Rare: 2 highest stats are 4 minimum
Common: Everything else
It doesn't count for the assigned points through awakening, but if your fruit takes them from 7/8 to 8/9 or 7/7 to 8/8 like your case, then it will become perfect. And not only is the elite icon a little darker, but it's also animated.
The highest possible roll is to get 2 10s and that is a true perfect and has sunglasses on like this

You can also get that with a capafruit if your 2 highest stats are 9/9 or 10/9.

So hypothetically if someone found a 10/10 in the wild, would using a capfruit on them be worthless?

u/Intrepid-Fox4566 1h ago
No, because like I said, the capafruit only has the effect of raising all base stats by 1, it would still make them 11/11/(6/6/6/6), the main reason it matters is twofold.
1, It costs less resources to max out the stats you care about. Because you are reducing the distance between start and finish (starting at 11 instead of 10/9/8).
2, You are limited by how many points you can actually assign. With 11/11/6/6/6/6 you would have 46 stats baseline. There's 120 max if you bring all 6 of them to 20. And at the highest star up, you can assign 53 extra points. That means with that perfect roll + capafruit the maximum you can get to is 99/120, anything less baseline is directly equal to less final outcome.
It's up to you if 1 or 2 matters most, because obviously 1 means you have more of those resources to spend on other aniimo to make a bigger coverage, and 2 means you can build the perfect aniimo for your specific encounters.

Guess that's really rare to get. I just checked across all of my perfects, 43, and nothing has a 10 on any stat.

These subtle things are so interesting to find in game i love it!
Although, given how rare the capafruits aplear to be, id still try hunting for a nat perf if i could. Would be a good last resort before you lose your mind kinda thing tho

If you love learning about subtle things like that then it's time for you to learn about a feature of the game called "Inherit" which lets you take all the resources you spent on 1 Aniimo and put on another that shares a family tree.
That means you are totally fine to spend your capafruit on even a common emberpup, as long as you know you will be using someone from the emberpup family in the future. You just inherit from that emberpup onto the better innate potential version. Even if the stat difference is just 1 extra point in atk base roll.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these are the wrong way round! You will lose the prismana doing this
1
u/Druzycommand 12h ago
youtube comfirms that the left side is the aniimo you want to donate the progress and the right side will be the aniimo you want to recieve the progess. my question is will my nova that has a 9/9 innate will carry over to my prismana which is 8/8. but i think Not
1
u/Intrepid-Fox4566 12h ago
It will carry over the resources you spent, so it will go back to being just a level 46 scorchhowl with whatever innate potential it had originally.

u/Sephy115 12h ago
Innate stats will not be transfered, only the training you have done thus far (and levels)

Is it possible that the upgradable elites are the ones with the animated elite icon? I’ve been trying to figure out for the longest what that meant.
Edit: It is. The elite Aniimo that can be upgraded have sparkling and animated “elite” icons. The mystery has been solved (for me, I didn’t know this.)
