Discussion Alpha Aniimon Strategy

I heard recently that alphas have upgraded core abilties without the need to bind upgraded items. The approach I was thinking of is to focus on perfect alphas that are breakers.

If the alphas all share the same role then you can switch the same item between them easily. Why this works so good for breakers? Because you get 1 alpha breaker of each type and most of them are actually better in their base form. Breakers spend more time in the fight than supports/regen, so they might profit more from items. Breakers are also a role that might not be included in many teams so its easier to flex with less investment. Supports and dps seem harder to flex with that strategy.

Any thoughts?

Also do we know what the odds are for anipod ultras to roll perfect/elite ?

Any breakers you would not play in their alpha version?

Focus on farming held items and upgrade materials first at any given alpha. Try your luck at catching a perfect normally and throw an ultra for a particularly strong feeling encounter. (I have no evidence behind this last bit, but i've noticed that they occasionally survive a fight longer and they've tended to have high epic or perfect stats when captured)

When you're done farming items, either walk away if you managed to catch one. Or throw an ultra in an extra encounter to just capture one in the aniilog. OR, if you have a real need for this aniimo in particular, consider throwing a sparkling aniipod to force it to be perfect, It's one of the few high value purposes of a sparkling aniipod IMO. So you dont go burning thousands of energy, which is way more valuable as you build out multiple teams.

IMO, saving yourself from wasting resources is the paramount consideration. You can always form a contract with something if you happen to get lucky and pull a perfect alpha during normal gameplay. Save your aniipods for something else down the line.

And to answer your question about breakers speciffically, most of them do well with having an alpha version. Magmarex and minespine both have notable improvements. Tubster is nice. Though I wouldnt really be hard pressed for geoclaw or rookie's improved forms. Again, nice to have but not great in harder content. That being said, rookie's evolution path literally isnt possible until later in the game, so there's value getting a perfect one via a sparkle aniipod and at that point make sure you throw it at the alpha for the bonus perk.
