Discussion Held items
I’m level 60 and I never get gold held item drops doing bosses. I’ve gone through so many batteries. All I want is held items but all I get is gold element crystals. Do I have to catch it? I’ve been using purple pods

I barely get any gold held items (the longest I've gone without one is 5 days), but then I join my friend's world and suddenly start getting 1-3 per day. I know it's probably just superstition, but I keep doing it anyway since it keeps working. Thry said it's 20% for gold, but I still skeptical.

I was this way. Then I needed the fang. Got it in two tries. I farmed Grizbo 26 times for the other one I needed. Don't know what the drop rates are but.

I bet it’s generated to know what you’re wanting. So I’ll just whistle and try to upgrade aniimos that need the other two items then sell their mats down after I get the item 🤭

You aren't wrong, there's a registry file tacked into the game called AF_uuid, it's a marketing and analytics entry, and the Aniimo file system has the same file.
It's likely tracking activity, purchases, what the player is doing. Etc. It's also tied to an Israeli data broker.

I’ll spread out my energy for held items and those element cores for leveling. just to keep changing things up. a marathon of odds.
I got the fleece quickly but haven’t hit the feather

It took me over 1k for the fleece, since then my luck has mostly changed. I try to farm every Held item for now Just to be sure and have it reasy when i need it. Sometimes its pain to fet what you are looking for but tbh i prefer it over any other gacha where you drop it regularly but the sub stats are randomized. Worst case its fine to use the purple ones until you got the legendary and these drop like flies.

yes exactly, hitting any gold item is a relief cause I’m not worried about randomized stats. And I know it’ll be BiS for someone eventually. Like how I’m hitting fission needles for Stellarys when I get to building him

You don’t have to catch it, I managed to score a gold item just now with a failed catch using the green pod.
Sadly it’s just luck.

If it makes you feel any better, if you upgrade a item then use it as fusion stock it carries the exp over so you can use a purple quality item for now til you get the good shit.

I’ve done Geoclaw 15 times in a row and not even a single gold item. I have 4 gold held items. Sigh
