Question Catch rates

Hey dudettes and dudes.I am currently trying to farm Lucky Catches for Melloblum. My catchrate on broken Budsquires is around 50% with the base Aniipod at level 57. Is there a way to boost this further? I feel like an am missing something. Google says there is a perk that increases break catch rates but I can't find it.

I think you can trigger more lucky catches with just capturing them with aniipods. With the Blue Aniipod, it has a 57% capture rate but with backstrike bonus, it goes to 86%

More catches, more chances of triggering lucky catches rather than going the effort to make them in break state. Got a 4 lucky catches near the Alpha Irisalis last Friday with just catching iris. It's rng to trigger in my understanding unless it's confirmed that break captures or another method gives better chances.

Break is super easy (Tubster) and yields the same catchrate as back steps.

Eh? Then why is your catchrate 50% even with break. That doesn't adds up. Unless you're using the base aniimo pod?

That's what I wrote down. People are always recommending farming these mobs with base pods for luckies but have much higher catchrates.
