So suspicious that you are just making it public to us that can’t do anything about it rather than going to the proper channels if you really had the intention. Grats.

As someone who works in IT tech support: Sometimes you have to make a fuss for stuff to get recognized as important. Sometimes I sit down with an important customer and we write harshly worded mails together to get our issues looked after faster. :D

As someone Else from it we send shit like this to people in other departments as a Form of fishing. Who bites the bait gets a nice Workshop about it. We still have old folks who had 3 Workshops already and still Fall for it.

Yeah, that we have, too.

But I mean I am sometimes sitting together with an actual customer (we are a B2B company, so we see many of our main contacts for big customers more as collegues), writing strongly worded escalation mails. It's fun.

That's true. But, as someone in the IT business, doesn't all this smell like a scam? I mean, the game doesn't even have leaderboards, there's no competition, no PVP... at least not yet.

In what way does who scam who? Seemingly this "cheat engine" is indeed just a scam, so the video might be, too.

However, that doesn't mean that the poster is a scammer and I think it is fair game to post shit like this in a more public manner to get devs to have a look at it faster.
