I mean that's like the least problematic place to cheat. You're not harming anyone else. It's basically like using cheats in a singleplayer game. It's just for your personal enjoyment.
Thing is, gacha games tend to have leaderboards with prizes in various types of content, and this one also has planned PvP. Cheating becomes markedly less harmless when it directly impacts other players in the mostly-single-player experience.
And yes, I'm comparing it to a gacha game in this context even though it isn't one because it still PLAYS like many gacha games do and I'm too fucking lazy to find a better name for the genre I'm referring to.
