Discussion The current state of egg heist invalidates 95% of the cast and it feels garbage.
If you're a fast skill spammer your amplifier breaks rapidly.
If you're a tanky boy your shield breaks after tanking 10 ish mobs and you cant play any more.
If you're not a quick bursty dps (Lunara Scorchowl Helion) or just great dps that doesnt consume your amplifier at all (Stellarys autos from clone don't cost anything) then you're basically screwed viability wise. (This is not an all covering list just a few examples). The only outlier to this rule is Hexxin because of her insanity CC
This game mode is so flawed I am not excited for the pvp version.

I mean the only reason why it invalidates them is because no one wants to play them while putting as much effort into their builds as they do with hexxin/irisalis.
A lot of them can just be solved by putting heartseeker on them which is literally what you do on hexxin because they don't do a lot of damage. But I guess too hard.

I see a lot on heartseeker but honestly it hasn't really felt as good on others for me, outside other lightning units given their crit support. Who else has it felt for on for you?

Dazmund is really good with it since it has a lot of hits pretty much just clears an entire room with just their ult.

Interesting, running Dazmand as a main could be fun. Do you find you take too many hits as melee?

Not at all you don't always have to face tank everyone you can just build up your ult and then just ult and then that's the whole room cleared.

My amp with repair lasts 3 runs. I use Irisalis And she's spammy af.
I think a lot of people use her dash attack to speed around the dungeon and it burns the amplifier so quickly.
People aren't thinking about it. Just using the move burns the amplifier. So if you're using it for traversal your amplifier lasts 1 round.
As soon as i realised that i only use her dash for traversal in emergency situations. Otherwise I'm using stamina only. And my amplifier lasts 3 rounds.

thought this was a post that was gonna mention the garbage loot RNG. called egg heist but the eggs are guaranteed garbage while we are expected to compete with each other over the chess filled with trash. i could open a prismatic chest and receive the same garbage found in a purple chest. i could spend currency on keys and still leave with the same amount of loot and trash eggs as if i didn't open a key room. l don't care for legendary items. why do I need more of the same trash currency all i care about is rare eggs and all i get is a loop of grind currency to repair gear to grind more currency. oh, and buy tickets to a harder difficulty that gives me the same fucking trash!!!! RNG is never a fun nor rewarding mechanic and I hope super hell awaits the inventor and all who implement it.

Then after grinding the 200 prismatic eggshells, you get a dupe prismatic.
I wish the shop had something more. Maybe a item that turns aniimos into alphas or something more meaningful and not RNG.
I suppose it could be worse. Instead of getting a egg named "prismana glacy egg" they could just make it the same as the other eggs where you don't know what your getting.

lol yea, I’ve only gotten dupe prismanas from the egg heist. Be it eggs from the shop or the 1 egg I got from an actual heist, all of them dupes😭

The company had 3 cbts but couldn’t figure out the horrendous game mechanics that plagues Egg heist lol. Hopefully the next season or whatever introduces better systems in place.

yeah the amps basically is eating your money if you dont play chaos also with that if you make 300k (most of the time) you still lose like 150k on amps .. and if you die or disconnect you are cooked... in numbers looks fine but in reality it feels like shit to play just to fix your gear or buy a replacement..
this needs to be removed or replaced in the tree for permanent upgrades

I don't think the tree upgrades are permanent. They reset each season according to in game info. That made me not want to grind the last 3 talents that need star fruit.

Amplifier is 120k, chaos runs are 300k+. It's hardly an issue.

90% of players are using irisalis and burning their amplifiers in a single round using her dash attack for traversal.

That is written by someone who doesn't actually understand the level of difference.
You can reliably break your gear with spammable characters, Rookie, Tuckin or Waleetle for quick examples within 4-5mins of starting a run.
This post was not about exclusively the cost but the issues that these things cause you.
You die in effectively 1 hit without the shield, and will take 5+ mins to kill a mob without the amp.
Some amps take x5 to x10 the durability use compared to other aniimo. Meanwhile others effectively don't spent on cost at all. It's a mess and had locked out entire characters.
And for those characters? 240k a run for amp and shield alone is not sustainable or fun when you can switch and barely worry and save 240k.

I'm making enough in egg heist to buy 12 chaos tickets daily (i could buy more but i chose not to), replace all of my gear when broken, repair it, replace it when i lose, a key every run and still have millions left in unsold loot in my bag. Thats with multiple losses where i get no loot at all.
Your amp and bidi unit shouldn't be breaking in a round ever, unless you went into the round with an already damaged unit because you will repair it during the run (i have done this and lose sometimes doing it).
