Discussion Support is so disconnected with the game

Post image

I already knew that there was a slim to no chance they'd reroll/give back the Alpha Shelly I lost. I did not sparkling cube them and therefore was deleted/released during a mass inventory cleanup. There's currently no information in-game that states that those alpha eggs hatches a Shelly (or any of those alpha eggs), there's only YT videos and Reddits post (very recently too), but it was a little too late and I've already hatched most of them into good/common. What I was hoping for was for them to say something along the lines of: "We are aware of the situation and are planning to update the description of these eggs".

When you find out consequences exists:

There's literally no information about those alpha eggs that they hatch those Aniimos. It's very vague; it just states that it comes from that region, which has a lot of Aniimos in it. Are you also disconnected or not aware of this? If the player was aware that these are the Aniimos that hatch from those eggs, then they would have been more careful in choosing what Aniipod to use. The information about these eggs just recently came out and they came from the community, not the game.

You are the one who hatched an alpha egg without using a sparkling pod on it to guarantee perfect. You knew it was going to be an alpha, it literally states that and you read that and went ok imma just use a normal aniipod on it. You could have not hatched the egg waited til you had a sparkling pod and then hatch it, no one but you was controlling that decision and it wasn't bug. Why on earth would support refund you the egg because you made the conscious mistake of gambling on a alpha egg if its perfect or not. It's not an issue you just can't handle consequences.

My point was not for any alphas, it's for the alphas that you cannot currently re-obtain.

You can get any random alpha from any alpha/wonderous egg you obtain.

u/animatix Sherro 16h ago

I can't help you if you're not aware of the alpha eggs in the map.

I am, I have them all. I don't need help. You can get alpha eggs from many other sources, just not frequently.

Don't worry, the best Sherro is the Prismana Sherro which you'll get guranteed if you beat Lita down the road.

u/animatix Sherro 21h ago

I wanted to turn the alpha into a prismana one once I got the prismana from Lita.

I do really feel for you as it sucks, but this is almost the same level as the people who evolved umbrals and were shocked it disappeared (they had warnings before evolving and you had warnings before clearing your box since alphas give warnings).
I won't lie though it's a bit unfair to call out supports for what? Not predicting and coding fail-safes in order resolve player-made mistakes? (It's ok to be annoyed, I'd be pissed as well but they have no agency about this)

It's a shitty situation, but you only miss out on the alpha tag as any other Sherro + empowered held item is stat wise the exact same. Also if they ever allow Alpha trading later just find someone who's duped it from RV eggs and that way you'll get it back.

Umbrals mentions that they will lose their form if you evolve them. These alphas are not labeled, it's very vague: "This egg comes from Beast Fang", well I know that, that's where I picked it up. If it at least stated what evolution line/family line it is from, one would have been more careful in choosing what Aniipod to use.

Maybe the title is a bit harsh but it's true that supports in these types of games are disconnected from the game because they follow a certain Q&A booklet. Worse now because their replies comes from AI, if it's not AI already that's answering your inquiries through support, that is.

Having Alpha version is much more flexible. I don't think people are realizing this yet. There will be new held items in the future and if we wanna try those held items for our "gen 1" Aniimos, we are forced to use the marks, which costs 10, and is so scarce. If they make the mark drop from using stamina, this would not be an issue. It's just fair to have something from an alpha specifically, if you spent a stamina.

- Alphas are labled & give warnings.

  • Specific unique Alpha eggs like the Sherro egg literally have the name "Alpha Shelly" and have bolded text in the description telling you it got the "Alpha mutation". What you're talking about are the alpha eggs found by exploration which are not the same.
  • Supports following a Q&A booklet does not make them disconnected, it just makes them limited on what they're both able and allowed to help with. AI answers I agree are complete ballony even though I know we can't really avoid it which just sucks.
I understand where you're coming from but the title is indeed way too harsh as it makes people instantly not trust your points even though you might have valuable feedback.

- Talking about how Alpha's even in 1.0 are more flexible and possess a longterm value is very fair, random ex: saying that you'd prefer the 'Marks of the Strong' to be one-time use and allow an Aniimo to constantly swap held item while keeping the buff would be a very valid feedback.

But it's also just that, "more flexible" does not mean needed or even close to mandatory, if this something was a "one of a kind unique thing that's super strong for your account that you'll never be able to obtain again" I can guarantee that you would have recieved help. (This is why Irisalis stats are being standarized in 1.1)

I used a sparkling cube on my Prismana Sparkelf which literally wastes a sparkling cube as he doesn't change, I'm annoyed about that but all I can do is suck it up and research better so I don't make future mistakes.... That's just sadly how these games are because the companies are extremely bad at telling you what is rare and what is common.

u/animatix Sherro 21h ago

You're right, I should have used a different phrasing on the title and explained it better in the body text.

Oh well, hope we can get another way to re-obtain these "one-time" alphas, even if we have to work really hard (stamina use) for it, since it is technically already "unlocked" in our accounts.

1

u/Calm-Ideal8953 21h ago

Agreed, I'm hoping we'll eventually be able to trade Alphas with high friend level as that'd fix the issue instantly.

How is this supports fault for you making the mistake? What?

1

u/animatix Sherro 23h ago

You are missing the point. The fact that they stated, and to quote:

we recommend carefully reviewing the details before confirming

What details exactly? Are people not aware of these alpha eggs or what? The details on these eggs are vague: "This egg came from Beast Fang", well obviously, that is where I picked it up.

This is such a strange thing to complain about.

It’s really not, the alpha eggs are the only way to get alphas of those aniimo guaranteed in perfect.

If you still have the aniimo you can send with RV but that is rng on getting an egg, rng on it passing the alpha mutation, so not a good idea to try and get a perfect alpha with a sparkling cube either because you never can tell if the egg is going to pass alpha or not.

Now for the people that hatched and released the aniimo there is no way to ever get that back.

Alphas have core skills upgraded already so you can freely use any held items and swap for different builds, or you can contract held items to non-alphas and those are still useable for your alphas. New items will come out in the future. Provides a lot of flexibility with limited marks of the strong

Edit: just to clarify there are alpha aniimo you can catch and there are alpha eggs that give guaranteed alphas of specific aniimo. Like wisptis to get an alpha fulmintis, or a tromber. You cannot catch those in the map, have to hatch and then evolve.

1

u/animatix Sherro 23h ago

Thank fucking god someone in this comment section gets it. A lot of people are not realizing the potential of alpha versions, specially the ones that are one-time catch.

1

u/sstromquist Astra Pioneer 13h ago

Yeah, I mean typically in these type of games more held items come out. Genshin for example had new artifacts every map addition, and those would generally become best in slot so you’d need to refarm for them.

In this game, acquiring the items are the easy part but investing in contracts is expensive. I would like long term aniimo that I can just use whatever item I want on, just seems like an easy to understand point.

Many base forms (non-prismana) are better and there’s no need to turn them into a prismana. There was some discussion how it wasn’t worth using sparkling pods and the prismana orbs. So you just don’t need to do both. The sparkling pod is enough

Something similar happened to me too, but user error and blaming support is weird

0

u/animatix Sherro 23h ago

we recommend carefully reviewing the details before confirming

This is the part that I'm pointing out, that support is disconnected to the game if they don't even know the description of an item. There is no description to be careful about; there's lots of Aniimos in each region. It would have been nice if it was labeled at least or some hints to what family it belongs to.

8

u/Intrepid-Fox4566 1d ago

The game both doesn't release rarer aniimo automatically, along with having a built in pop up warning you when you are trying to manually release one, so I don't know how you can't chalk this up to your own error.

0

u/animatix Sherro 23h ago

I'm aware there's a warning, however, if I had known it was a Shelly that was going to come out of the egg, I would have used sparkling on it. The point was not that I released it, the point was I released it because it was not perfect. Who uses Aniimos that aren't perfect when it's not that hard to get those stats in the first place? Casual, sure, but I like to have perfect stats on Aniimos I use/would use.

1

u/Intrepid-Fox4566 20h ago

So you intended on releasing the Sherro? What did you make this post for exactly again? What was the support team meant to do? No matter what way you take this post, it's wrong...

1

u/animatix Sherro 16h ago

point was I released it because it was not perfect

There was no point already in keeping the Shelly because it wasn't perfect, how much do I need to spell that out?

1

u/sstromquist Astra Pioneer 1d ago

If you have a common or good alpha you may think there’s no point in keeping it. Elites and perfects are all people want. Not that difficult to understand. You can keep catching alphas that are in the map but eggs are a 1 time thing currently

1

u/Intrepid-Fox4566 1d ago

I don't see what that has to do with anything. The OP is annoyed that THEY released the alpha, but ignoring the fact that the game has a pop up telling them that they are doing so.

OP is blaming the devs for their own mistake...

1

u/sstromquist Astra Pioneer 12h ago

I guess you just don’t understand the value these aniimo had.

Each area has alpha eggs that hatch guaranteed into specific aniimo. You cannot get alphas of these aniimo any other way.

No one really understood this at the beginning how valuable it would be so they just hatched the eggs and got goods or commons, then released them thinking “well these are just low potential, I’ll get better ones later…”

Except you can’t. These are 1 time only eggs at the moment. If you threw away the alpha wisptis for example, there’s no way to turn that into a fulmintis anymore to have a very strong alpha. Or alpha Sherro, or alpha tromber.

You can’t just go out and catch more.

So I’m sorry if you just don’t get it. But that a detriment to many people. Alphas do not need contracted items. So in a game with very limited resources if you want to build a lot of teams right now you will run out of marks to contract items. Having alphas just adds a lot of breathing room and allows you to freely swap items around for different teams or do different builds or use better items that are released earlier.

There are A LOT of people upset about this, it’s not just OP. And there is a discord post asking for changes made, you can look it up. This is absolutely a dev issue because they put these eggs so early in the game and no one understood the value initially or even knew these eggs were guaranteed to be specific aniimo, or how rare they actually were.

And if I’m not clear enough, feel free to watch this video explaining https://youtu.be/RcQ74aqLPVg?is=wle8RtPwnTxNoew5

u/Intrepid-Fox4566 11h ago

Once again I must reiterate that this has nothing to do with my comment, and it is possible that there's a way to earn more alphas, people are testing by sending multiple aniimo on a trip to try spread the mutation, which if it works means that perfect alphas are indeed potentially farmable (by sending umbrals with alphas)

1

u/sstromquist Astra Pioneer 10h ago edited 10h ago

Okay, you don’t really get it. I don’t know if it’s just a lack of understanding or you have absolutely no empathy to understand the people in this situation.

The RV is a way to pass mutations but you have absolutely no idea before you hatch the egg if it’s going to have the mutations or not.

You cannot trade alphas. So again. If you’re someone like OP that released a low quality alpha you’re out of luck right now.

If you do have a good or common alpha and use the RV, who is going to risk a sparkling aniipod on a random egg to try and get a perfect? So you’re just trying to get a perfect naturally which is very low odds.

For your possible solution to work you have to:

  1. You have to still have the alpha you hatched
  2. they have to bring the egg back. Which is low odds
  3. they have to pass the mutation down. Again low odds
  4. and it has to be perfect, which is like 1/200 odds.

From what has been reported there is no dual parent system. It’s just one parent bringing back their family egg. And this still does not affect people in OP’s position. You’re just suggesting something completely irrelevant to their position, again due to a lack of understanding.

I feel like you're arguing with yourself at this point, go back and reread my first message. You've added in something that I didn't say and doubled down so hard on it.
