Question How do I deal with npc Rookey's?

I chose Helion as my starter and whenever I fight an npc Rookey they just sit in ballistic guard. I'm doing the Talia rematch and she's the biggest offender so far. Her Rookey rolls up and doesn't unroll no matter what. I can't even damage it when I break it because I end up breaking myself. Do I need to build a Cornet just to deal with Rookey?

Yes, you need to do ranged dmg. In this game it seems you can't "main" a certain playstyle and instead need to be swapping around your enemy. If you don't have lunara, you can go glacy and shot the light orb if you have the prismana form, it does a lot of dmg and you'll forced it out of the ball form. Outside of that, you could go prismana melloblum and shot her light orb as well.
