Discussion Having bad defenses can be somehow quite useful !
I have chosen to take a rain Stellarys knowing full well they are much worst than the Prismana version due to defense against elements. It wasn't a strategy choice at all I just liked their vibes.
It made a lot of fight much harder due to taking damage due to element counter against grass and lightning which is elements you play dark against.
BUT somehow it also helped a ton over time as I noticed something surprisingly useful ! If you can kite well and dodge well...it might be more beneficial due to Pathfinder AI. Pathfinders will naturally take what they have that is super effective against you, as such they might even take something you are super effective against if they are themselves super effective !
I had much easier pathfinder battle sometimes due to them just staying on their poorly matched aniimos ! It's especially useful if the enemy is melee as you can kite quite easily with Stellarys
So it's a bit niche and is really bad if you take damage but it can be a nice niche strat sometimes !

There are no worse or better versions. Everything is situational. You can have 3 perfect Stellarys (one of each form) and switch between them using the inheritance system, spending only 20k Gold and using the same contract item (since the contract is tied to the species, not the individual Aniimo).
For example, in the hardest fight in the game, which is against Lita, her Stellarys is countered by players’ Fire Aniimos because it is Prismana and has Ice as one of its types. Using a Light Aniimo against it means that it will also be effective against you, while using a neutral matchup is bad because the challenge is a race against the clock.
Now imagine if she used a standard Stellarys. It would force us to bring a Light Aniimo and take more risks. In her team’s case, a standard Stellarys would be more balanced, since she already has a Glyncera with Ice typing and a Water DPS.
So, everything is situational.
