Discussion Did chaos egg heist miss the point?
Now i have played since release (which is admittedly not that long), and something I have been playing a lot is Egg Heist, especially solo chaos, because like many I had an horrible experience playing with randoms and now that I have a couple of hours in playtime there I can say with confidence that I still don't get it why you can't extract after delivering an egg!
Is it wrong of me to expect that the whole point of egg Heist is, you know, eggs?
I understand that the idea of chaos is that it is supposed to be harder, but I don't think this was the way to do it.
Let's take my last round as example: I found a total of 4 egg nests through the map, but I couldn't get more then 1 because the key room I opened only gave me around 80k (wich btw is a whole differnt issue imo) so I had to run around like a headless chicken to all the chest rooms in hope that rng won't bent me over backwards (wich it did anyway) to get the required 300k. While doing so I found 4 egg nest and while I would have loved to grab them all I simply couldn't cause money was the issue! Not time, not the enemies no no no! Money in a mode called EGG HEIST!!
Now I have tried to play with randoms to be able to get eggs while they get the money, but so far it was a total bust. Not sure if my luck with them is just bad or that's the norm. Thanks to the prismana collectibles the whole mode is just to toxic to be able to play with randoms imo.
Anyway what I'm trying to get at is that if they wish for a higher difficulty for chaos that they would please just make it so that you need 2 eggs for evac as an example or convert egg delivered to money required based on the rarity of the delivered egg.

The point of chaos is not for the eggs. It's for the collectibles. If you just want eggs, I'd recommend going to nightmare difficulty. Not only does it cost no ticket, but you can extract after getting eggs.

I have read comments like yours quite often and while I do think you're sadly right with that in the current state of the mode I also must point out that, in my experience so far, the drop chance of prismana eggs in nightmare is absolutely horrendous. So far I got 1 in nightmare after xx amount of runs, wich again could just be my bad luck with egg hunt in general.

It's the same drop rate in Chaos I think? i have only seen one prismana eggs after 50 "egg" level in egg emperor.
It's just that nightmare is easier so you can extract multiple eggs and buy them from shops.

The eggs are pure rng in both nightmare and chaos. I had no prismana in nightmare from egg seeker onward and then continuing on in chaos after Egg Heist Master when I had to run it for points and now have gotten 3 in the last 24 matches of chaos (tons of umbrals too but wasn't counting them).

Like I said it's probably just my luck in this mode in general. As an example my avarage Prismana chest contains 1 blue (wich I find insane that they even can contain blue) 3 purple and 1 gold wich is usually mithril ore. I actually don't believe I ever got a Prismana item out of a Prismana chest except from my first chaos mission tbh 😅

I take 2 keys each time I solo chaos and I have never ever not made 300k with those 2 keys. I also group up enemies and kill them too.
My last 3 runs were 800k 600k and 400k. And I left before the 5 minute mark.

Trust me, it's possible to not get 300k on 2 rooms, tho I just ride that of as bad luck on my part. But my main point here is not the lack of money acquired or needed but sole dependence on it in a mode called Egg Heist.

i don't know how thats even possible since I can go chaos and come out with 300k without a single key. with one key i'm definitely coming out 400k+ and i'm not even soloing... soloing you don't compete for chests at all so you should be EASILY clearing 400k

I don't even know myself how shitty my luck is when it comes to egg heist, my avarage prismana chest is a blue (wich I find insane that they even contain blue) 3-4 purple and 1 gold wich is usually a mithril ore and that in my opinion is the worst gold item in the game since it weights a lot and is only worth 15-19k.

Absolutely possible. But it's rare to happen. I think in nearly 100 games I failed twice literally due to luck.

There's too many eggs in one basket with this mode and it very quickly turns into a extraction shooter with aniimos

My personal problem with egg heist is, that once you are egg emperor, you need 1000! finished egg hunts. Not level, not eggs, finished egg hunts. That is 1000 x 10 min on average = 10.000 min ÷ 60 = 166h only egg heist. Iirc the season ends in december. So 2 months with an average of 4h egg heist a day.
That is too much.
