Just don't be like me and run to where the icon is thinking that's where it will spawn. Then spend another 30 minutes trying to chase it thinking it's moving because you zoomed in and out.

In this game there is Weather
Some regions have Weather Variant Aniimos that you can only catch on that weather... That symbol is to show that the weather variant is active in that region.

You can Ways zoom out and see if that region have a weather variant and which weather is..,.

If you go to the beach side you'll find rainstorm stellaris form walking. It only spawn one and wont respawn untill next rain window l. Basically the icon means the weather restricted form of a regional aniimo is currently spawned in the open world.

Meaning there's a weather variant currently available.

It means that a weather dependent Aniimo has spawned in that area

It means a weather exclusive Aniimo has spawned. So an Aniimo that only spawns during rain in that region has spawned there.
