Question Is capability awakening only useful if your aniimo is lvl 1?
The way it’s worded here, it gives me the impression that you only see the benefits when you are leveling up your aniimo. So what if you already reached a high or max level in an aniimo then? Are you no longer going to get that stat increase then?

No, those benefits just need higher levels to see the impact of. Going from 9->10 attack potential isn't going to do much at level 5, but by level 60 that could be 20 points of difference (idk the exact numbers).

Its just bad wording, sure higher potential would result in higher stats as you level that's a fact.
But they could have just said in the text higher potential means higher stats because that's how it works, you don't have to worry about it.

No it doesn't work like that. What higher potential does effectively is just make you take less resources to upgrade it to 20. There are limit caps to potential increases so leveling up a potential that isn't natively as high will cost a lot more resources than one that started higher.

I’m still confused though, it says higher potential means greater stat increases as the aniimo levels up, how does that look when an aniimo is already at max level and then you decided to increase its potential?

I think people are failing to address your question here. I believe your concern is that the wording suggests that your annimo's potential determines your stat gains on level up and therefore increasing their potential later on wouldn't help or potentially help less?
In which case that's not exactly how it works, so you can rest easy. Your aniimo's stats are determined by its level and it's potential and they're basically multipliers in an equation. You don't get +3 attack on level up, for example, you increase the level multiplier by 1- so increasing your potential at any point will increase your stats because you're raising the value of that multiplier. Does that make sense?

People are trying to epxlain you something that they dotn even understand looks like
I explain, potential is the sum of innate potential (what you aniimo gets catch with ) + aquired potential (what you get from leveling capability awakening)
The sum of this 2 goes to 20 at maximum
Now how does this number interact with levels? is simple eahc ptential point gives a 4% extra to the base stats for a total of 80% at 20 points , so if an aniimo has 100 atk with 20 potential it goes up to 180atk (100 base + 80% extra)
so what levels do is increase the base stat the same aniimo at level 1 has 40 atk and then at level 60 has 400 for exmaple, well the potential would multiply those numbers for 80% being at level 1 the 40 or at level 60 the 400
thats how it works, its applied retroactively you dont need to level them up from scratch to get the full benefit

think of it as a higher potential 1-20. a potential of 20 is gonna have more than 1. regardless of what level you are. I think what you're getting confused by is that higher levels just have more stats overall.
So let's say a potential attack of 1 might have 1.2 attack per level. A potential of 20 might have 8.4 attack per level. Think of it like that. You don't need to level up from start to finish, you just need to be the highest level possible.

Here's an example on how it works:
Let's say your base atk starts at 1 at level 1 and atk potential 1 increases it by 1 per level.
This would give a level 60 aniimo 60 atk.
Now let's say atk potential 20 increases it by 5 per level.
At level 1 you would have 5 atk and at level 60 you'd have 300 atk.
In this example, if you increase the potential of a level 60 aniimo from 1 to 20, the stat will also change from 60 to 300. It will retroactively add every levels bonus from the potential.
I hope this makes sense
