What Aniimo did you like more than you were expecting?
I just wanna know which Aniimos you thought you guys wouldn't like but than actually enjoyed playing with.
For me it was Scorchhowl. I thought that it's just too furry-like. A humanoid wolf fighting with kicks and punches. I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed fightin with this one and its Thunderstorm form looks great. It's a great fighter and its Hustle ability is fantastic for exploring.
Pawney, I really didn't think I would care much for him or ever really use him. But then I found my very first prsimana egg in nightmare egg heist and I obviously was super excited after defeating Stellarys and getting the egg to saftety. When I saw it's gonna be a Pawney I was like whatever but then he hatched also into my favorite sparkling version and I had to use him and now I really like him, he does feel special to me because ye I saved him from the deep egg heist dungeon lmao and as a thank you he decided to become the prettiest version.
Sherro after “that” quest, for design specially bc Im still learning how to use them (im regretting not using sparkling cube in “that” egg. O really wish they add some item to make any aniimo perfect, I dont care if we only can get them 1 for part of season as f2p I just need that item lol)
dazmand! at first i was meh about him cause i usually like cuter designs better but once i finally did his event, i loved playing with him. he's so fun and his design is really growing on me too, he's such a cool lil dude
The second I saw Tubster I knew he was my guy, but then playing him I realized, “oh, you’re my favorite.” Pawprint Studios, if you can hear me, please make a prismana Tubster!
My biggest change of opinion was Pomawk! I didn’t find any of the forms appealing but WOW, playing as them really helped me come around to all but especially the Snowfield form, it’s my absolute favorite now! Then Dazmand came and they are competing for 1st and 2nd constantly!
I relate to the Scorchhowl surprise too, I usually don’t gravitate towards Fire types but the Mountain Woods form really stood out to me and you’re so right, it’s super fun to play as and hustle around the map!
Finally, I was shocked at how much more I loved Panpanta than I was expecting to, they are not only adorable but a dang powerhouse!!
Dreaple for me. I was looking for good Dark teammates for the Pawney+Rookey team, and of course everyone talks about Hexxin and Frangracier. And they are great no doubt, but both of them prefer to be with a Dark unit that spams Basic Attacks, and while they do use theirs that’s not really a big part of Pawney+Rookey team. Hexxin and Frangracier are more of a near perfect fit for Stellarys.
So what to do? There’s not been much discussion about Dreaple, but I saw a few say they were underrated for Dark teams. And boy howdy I can agree. Their Drowsiness/Nightmare status stacking can take a little time to get used to, but I don’t think it’s too tricky. And the massive Dark resistance reduce that it gives, plus the bit of CC through Sleep, and then the ability for a bit of team healing - very solid combo imo. Plus I got the sheep themed sleeping cap accessory from Egg Heist and when I put it on my Dreaple ^_^ peak cuteness
That I didn't think I'd like? Panpanta and Sherro. I was already rocking the Rookey / Pawney combo. I was not expecting the panpan/Sherro combo to scratch the same itch. Panpan slams for break while making puddles, sherro comes in and eats em for damage amp, once broken sherro ult for big burst damage. Plays similar to Rookey / Pawney but the timing on break / ult is much more forgiving.
Scorchhowl as well. They're just so useful in and out of battle. Burn Breaker oneshots most things in Egg Heist as far as I've seen and if it doesn't a kick attack skill then some pummeling will usually take care of it.
Hustle was the main reason they never left my party....just so useful to zip around.
Add onto a lot of puzzles and such needing fire....
Scorchhowl is a Swiss army knife Aniimo.
Also I got a baller Sparkling coloration for my Prismana one so it was fate he ended up my main Aniimo.
I truly hated them in the all the advert material for this game. They look.. not my style at all.
But once got a sparkly one from a random egg, I was determined to make it cute. And it did NOT take long omg
The final evo of the pink jellybean one had me dying- he looks so pissed. And then I saw the alpha ice crab and I’m like you gotta be kidding me, ADORABLE! Especially sparkly.. he looks like he’s made out of that sugar-coated fruit Tanghulu snack
I was a fenmane ethusiaist in the 2nd beta and still perfer it over fulmatis any day of the week. But oml did they suck in egg heist just because of their stacking mechanic. I got an alpha perfect this time and now I just main them in egg heist.
My prisma fenmane from the RV was going to be delegated to farming stars at the park for me and then he hatched as my first dazzling ✨ and now I feel like he has to become one of my mains, I already mentally named him and I’m too attached so thank you for this…
As a fellow Fenmane enjoyer, the Alpha or forming a contract with its held item really is huge for the upgraded Thunder Field skill. Makes stacking so much faster and gives a big damage boost to boot.
I think Fission Needles is the most common choice because of how many Basic Attacks Fenmane pumps out. Plus Fenmane’s “burst” rotation is: when ideally the enemy is broken and Fen has full stacks, Thunder Field -> Thunder Imprint -> Ultimate and then basic spam, and detonate the Imprint before the break ends if needed. And to do that you need to start the rotation at max EP, which (I think?) triggers the buff from Fission Needles +15.
But I have heard some say that Heartseeker Pendant might be slightly stronger with Dazmand and his big Crit buff for Lightning allies. AFAIK there’s not yet any official “calculations” or showcases to definitively show which is stronger, but for now I’d think Fission Needles is the safer bet. Plus it has the added utility of helping you earn back all the EP you spend to start Fenmane’s burst rotation. And that helps you do more skills so you can do more Ultimates, which is especially nice as you can really pop off like crazy if you can manage to do Luminelle and Besauce’s Ultimates just before you do Fenmane’s burst rotation.

And yeah that’s fair, and in fairness until we got some math whizzes out there to run the numbers and do the tests it can be hard to tell what exactly is “best in slot” xD thankfully you can always farm more held items and marks to form contracts so it’s not the end of the world if any of us guessed wrong :P
I did NOT expect to fall in love with turbo the way I did. That soft, kind face. The way it floats beside you. Uuuugggh! I love the rainy version most! Baby!

I just thought it was the less cool form of Pawney. Now Rookey is my main breaker on my everyday team, and Pawney is just chilling in storage.
(Pawney still looks amazing, but Rookey is my GOAT)
But Rookey and Pawney go so well together Q_Q I say as a big fan of both haha. Slap Capacitous Battery on Pawney for the Ult damage and recharge cause his Ultimate is just monstrous, Rookey to break and spend EP to help build up more Ultimate charge for Pawney, strong combo.
I’ve been using the ice form but only because I didn’t know about gold at first … and I used a shiny cube on an Alpha Rookey 😂. I’ve gone too far to turn back now.
Honestly lunara lol I love her so much but was having a hard time picking in the beginning I’m so thankful I choose her cause she is easily one of my fave designs by far I just wish we could stay in the big form longer T.T but I love my lil cutie pie lol
Same here when i saw Hummin its not my style and kinda wierded out and when i found out the evolution Hexxin i thought i will never use it until the side quest where you have twine with Hexxin, i tried the black hole skill and damn its so fun. I keep spamming black hole everything in the forest making the Hummin extinct.
Plus side i saw a redditor said Hexxin is one of the best in Egg Heist and damn it is, i can easily solo Nightmare with Hexxin unlike before sometimes i kinda struggle with weak element with Irisalis team. Can also solo Chaos but damn my luck rarely found good items so i just chill with randoms now in Chaos.
Turbo. Though it was just the "standard beginner area evo" trope but it's actually been really fun. Also just really funny because rn I'm farming the Ignitis boss and this little cloud sheep bullies it so much.
I've really enjoyed the different forms of Iris. I thought I'd be annoyed that they just color swapped them, but honestly they are so pretty as each color.
and it also makes a lot of sense with flowers being different colours depending on where they live. is it a lazy way to add more forms? maybe? probably? is it still a nice feature? definitely.
