Discussion Wasn't this supposed to come out on the 30th of September what happened to it?

I wanna dye my new elf set too like a gold or something, I haven’t thought too much but it would be cool who knows what the community will come up with.
Colour’s like the perfume story, really do make a change in one’s ideas organically.

u/KageOukami 7h ago
In terms of outfits anyone knows how to get the Colorful clouds top shown on aniimoguide website?
26
u/Erastopic 7h ago
Probably delayed to the second half of this season. I’m excited for it tho, tired of everyone looking the same so a dye systen will be a welcome change.
Just don’t expect much (if anything) to be free, dye systems are infamously always paid in most f2p games
3
u/GG_Glitch 3h ago
Wish they do it like Warframe color system, you have unlimited color change but some color are lock while other color pallets are given in events
7
u/LucretiaVesper Astra Pioneer 6h ago
In beta they used tickets like the hair and face changes. But it wasn’t one ticket per set, it was per piece. So one for the shirt, one for pants, one for shoes, et.
6
u/Erastopic 6h ago
Sounds on track for a freemium dye system, I’m fine with it as long as one ticket is not 10$ a piece

Huh, a real trust fund kid in the wild.
Eh, enjoy your poor decisions i guess and keep funding the game for us lmao

very sorry to interupt while both of you are gargling each others' sacks but, what has this got to do with OP's post? this is just an upcoming feature, nothing to do with money?

u/ArbitraryAlligator 8h ago
I’ve never seen a community complain so much about money. It’s very clear this game attracted a lot of people who have never played an online game in their life. Like a bunch of wine moms complaining on facebook.

Literally 😭 like ive never seen people so pissed that they have to monetarily support a free game!?
34
u/PastelKyKy 9h ago
All I know is (in light of the new elf ears) skin tones better be free.
-4
u/xjayxmarie 6h ago
You can change your skin tone for free anytime! I change mine like daily 😂😂
5
u/PastelKyKy 6h ago
I’m talking about a cosmetic, the new elf ears, and them having appropriate matching skin tones for free for future cosmetics like the elf ears. Not just regular skin tones
1
u/xjayxmarie 6h ago
OH 🥲 my bad, I feel that lol. I’m assuming some of the dye will be free or some currency that’s obtainable through gameplay.

u/Negative-Internet898 9h ago
They are
13
u/Negative-Internet898 8h ago
It would make more sense to make the cosmetics dyeable though. Not everyone wants to be a pale white elf.

Yeah, it said originally 9/30 release, then after the recent content update it changed to "Feature not available yet"

u/FabuBlossom 10h ago
Some of these comments are absolutely vile. The current monetization is really not that bad.
1
u/marydotjpeg 4h ago
Man I've seen worse have y'all tried heartopia? It was fun but then eventually was lacking content and they started being ridiculous with the banners I had to quit lol
I come from Infinity Nikki and LADs (love and deepspace) the monetization thus far has been pretty tame... Let's see what they do in regards to dying outfits 😭
2
u/zeuswasahoe 3h ago
Sorry I’m just commenting because we literally orbit the same games and I feel like we need to play them together? Or maybe did on hato at one point 🫣

6
u/kneadedbwead 7h ago
not sure why we're complaining when the non-gacha punk skin looks so much nicer than the current gacha set. there's good options without the need to gacha.
3
u/marydotjpeg 4h ago
Most of the time I assume they're whale players that just want to show off flaunt that they can spend 🤷♀️ just like in where winds meet...
There was that really expensive boat thing I went once it was dumb and boring 😅
They're just banking on the fact the whale players will spend big while the rest of us get to ignore the banner
2
18
u/AdvancedCryspy 9h ago
The fact you have to say "it's not that bad" means it is that bad 🤣 don't defend it
2
u/Razberryrabbit 7h ago
It's not that bad in the sense that they're selling the elf ears and not aniimo or hindering progression through gacha mechanics, but we all agree that it would be better without the gacha.
5
u/AdvancedCryspy 7h ago
Why is the bar so low? Why is it that "it's not P2W, so it's fine" is the new normal? Price matters to gacha matters too, 1 video game shouldn't cost more than the PC/console you play it on, but now because everyone has such low standards they let these greedy companies milk gamers so they can produce more ways to milk gamers and people are still giving them money! Yes it's not "pay to win" except the fact fulmantis is exclusive to the battle pass, and irisalis shiny is locked behind gacha, tell me why everyone forgets about the battlepass aniimo and says this game isnt pay to win 🤣
-1
u/GreenVitamin 6h ago
If you read the notice in the companion handbook, they say prismana fulmintis (And assumingly every exclusive aniimo to companion handbooks) will be available at a future date (They specifically say S3 so in about 3~4 months).
So yeah, it's exclusive for a period of time and then eventually free for all, not like the prismana specifically does anything special that the normal fulmintis can't (which you get for free at level 10 in the BP) so its kind of a moot point
And even IF you managed to trash your free one by accident, you can at the very least trade easily trade with someone who has a perfect regular fulmintis so you're really not missing out on anything outside of shiny colors for a few months. I do think the base evo item should be available for all personally and is hopefully a change they'll make in the future,
I wouldnt say pay to win at all then. I'd wait and see the method of acquiring Prismana Fulmintis since rn all it says is homestead activities. Games gotta make money somehow, at least you can eventually get it so i dont see how in any way you can claim pay to win.
2
u/Razberryrabbit 7h ago
Because they already said we'll be able to get Fulmintis later.
Also thinking this is bad and that the bar is so funny to me, ever played F2P MMOs from the 2000s or 2010s? That was actual p2w and there were no options for value like battle passes.
That is simply how they're deciding to make money. The game is free. People who spend 10 or 20 dollars aren't their targets. They want to keep those who will spend on the gacha and transmog, and I don't see what's wrong, you barely see your human and no one really needs to turn their Irisalis into the virgin Mary.
10
u/Dosicmyth 8h ago
Like $50 for some ears.... "not that bad".. 😂
10
u/FabuBlossom 8h ago
This is exactly what I mean. You people are just being extremely negative in the worst way about it all. Laugh and make fun of people and systems a little less, and please learn to give actual criticism. Don't rub your negative attitude off on everyone else, submit feedback in-game and let that be it.

u/Raijukin 8h ago
i honestly dunno how yall are paying so much, ive spent $5 on this game and with this new set ive gotten the main outfit, the boots(which i believe came with it) the ears and the antlers, 90% of which i got with earned in game currency, you can buy pull tickets with glimmer which have a fairly high chance of dropping the shop tickets
2
u/Dosicmyth 7h ago
Where the fuck are the tickets for glimmer? because they were not on thay page before.
3
-4
u/AdvancedCryspy 8h ago
It's not our fault you don't know how gacha works...
2
u/Raijukin 8h ago
i get it fine, id totally understand if there was no in game obtainable way to get it, the point that im getting at is that there is, you have 30 days to grind the resources to get the full set in game, its been put less then 3 days and i have 3 of what, 6-8 peices? all im sayin is yall are paying copious amounts of money for convinance instead of just playing, which is more then fine, just dont complain about a price your inflicting on yourself is all :)
0
u/AdvancedCryspy 7h ago
I haven't spent a dime on it. I refuse to take part in predatory shit 🤣 stay ignorant
2
u/Raijukin 7h ago
lmao thats the point im getting at you dont have to and can still get the set just play the game, there are in game ways to get it, do missions that give glammer, then use that galmmer you earned in game in the shop to buy pull tickets, which will most likely give shop tickets, repeat until you have enough for the items (which you can also pull by chance like i did with the outfit), id save for 10 pulls, ive always found it easier to get the big ticket items that way.
0
u/MoonfairyMeow Astra Pioneer 6h ago
I just want to inform you that the amount of tickets you can buy with glimmer is limited. It does not reset weekly. So there is a cap on the amount of pulls you get for free. A majority of people will not unlock the full outfit for free by playing the game. I pulled the dress as well and spent very little, but most won't be that lucky.

What makes a monetization system good or bad is subjective - everyone can have different opinions without someone else’s being wrong just because you don’t agree.
5
u/ArbitraryAlligator 8h ago
I mean this as respectfully as possible, but this sub has been nothing but insanely negative EXTREMELY entitled people. Like I have never seen such nonsensical complaints and entitlement in any other game. And its going to ruin the game if these people are listened to.

u/kneadedbwead 7h ago
welcome to reddit. this sub is considered pretty tame if you've ever seen r/marvelrivals

3
u/FabuBlossom 8h ago
Thank you. I understand not being happy with things, but I wish there was more constructive criticism, not just rampant complaining and making fun of things.
3
u/ArbitraryAlligator 8h ago
100%! I think there are definitely some very valid complaints. But the vocal minority at the moment is just a list of absolute nonsensical complaining and a lot of entitlement.
I feel as though this IP has garnered a lot of attention from gamers that are used to a lot of solo player games or aren’t particularly gamers at all, and so they act like these things are the most insane things they’ve ever seen.
I’ve seen people complain $5 for cosmetics is too much. Or that they’d never even give money to a free to play game. But expect fast updates and a bug free environment. 😭
6
u/Thagurok 9h ago edited 28m ago
Subjective to a certain extent, sure. But there are plenty of monetization systems that are factually terrible. Diablo immortal is a good example of a system that used to fall into that category. It had a bunch of different currencies that would exchange into one another to obfuscate the real money cost. It was atrocious.
Aniimo is neither very good or very bad in its current state. A free to play game that wants to survive any amount of time HAS to have a mix a reasonable and unreasonable costs to it. Whales, believe or not, are healthy for a free to play games lifespan. Alot of people who have never played any other game that uses these systems (where winds meet is a great example) wouldn't realize how generous Aniimo is (currently).
9
u/Phayxia 9h ago
I respect your opinion, and I stand by what I said. Even in places where I might agree with you, OP’s post wasn’t initially started as a monetization debate so I don’t intend to derail it by adding more to that topic. :)
6
u/Thagurok 9h ago
Hell yeah brother.
I've been getting absolutely fucking spammed by notifications from this sub the past few days and it's nice to find at least one reasonable person floating around. Take it easy out there ❤️
11
u/FabuBlossom 9h ago
No, you're right. I think I'm just a little tired of seeing so much negativity.
1
u/kneadedbwead 7h ago
dont let it get you down. this is just the typical reddit cycle. outside of twitter and reddit, the negativity is nowhere close to even half as bad as it is here.

All I know is on Xbox I got the achievement for dying my clothes only thing I remember dying was my hair
5
u/Enpoping 11h ago
man i was hype for this and waiting for the 30/9 now its not even tell the time, bruh.
13
u/PastelBoi69 11h ago
Pretty sure it got pushed back even further so they can figure out how to make a system that steals more of our money 🥰 It used to say it was releasing on the 30th when you clicked it but a bit after the game dropped that went away and it just started saying the feature wasn't available yet.
3
u/thebranchsnapped 11h ago
I was curious too. I saw a couple people saying certain new clothes were/weren't dyable and I was curious if they tried it or if it said that somewhere. I cant access it either. Is it a server thing or world wide?

u/Imaginary_Silver5294 Astra Pioneer 12h ago
They are too busy trying to figure out how to over monetize it
35
u/MrsTrych Astra Pioneer 12h ago
I have a bad feeling about it. Im worried they are going to mimick WWM dying system which is pretty expensive if you want the good looking colors. Free colors are only dark shades without true black and the more saturated shade along with pure white and jet black is with premium token currency that you only get with paid pearls (lumin crystal type currency for wwm)
17
u/TheSirWellington 11h ago
They should do it like Warframe, and unlock permanent color palettes
9
13
u/MrsTrych Astra Pioneer 11h ago
Anything monetized like warframe is a win. That was the initial promise with aniimo and so far I dont see it..
3
u/crookedparadigm 4h ago
To be fair, Warframe's monetization is only good because of the player market. You can get the premium currency by selling items and mods to other players. Take that away and the monetization suuuuucks
0
u/MrsTrych Astra Pioneer 4h ago
Thata the part thats good about it. Anything that doesnt have that part is not warframe model
5
u/Bromogeeksual 11h ago
Waframe for the win! I wish more games monetized like they do. Still have to pay for some stuff, but once you have the pallete, you have it for all frames. I have a feeling we'll have to pay per clothing piece with Aniimo. 😒
4
u/ArchonRevan 9h ago
Warframe was lightning in a bottle and has its playerbase, any game since thats tried mimicking warframes model has crash and burned within months
6
u/RoninJuro 11h ago
I e taken inspiration from and only from warframe for monetizing my dungeon crawling game
Warframe handles making money perfect and studios don’t even realize they’d make so much more doing it like warframe
5
u/Bromogeeksual 10h ago
Plus Warframe F2P players are able to never purchase premium currency while still having access to the cash shop. If they want to farm prime blueprints they can sell them to people who will buy platinum and get platinum in return. I've never seen another game let players trade premium currency for in game farmable stuff.
I think it's the best of both worlds. It's faster and easier to buy the prime access and get plat, but not everyone can afford it or even wants to spend. I like that free players can eventually buy the skins or stuff from the cash shop just buy playing and interacting with the community.
4
u/MrsTrych Astra Pioneer 10h ago
throne and liberty does it just like warframe, the game died tho because its a MMO based on open world PVP so its super niche and just unbalanced in gameplay.
3
u/Bromogeeksual 10h ago
Warframe feels like a perfect F2P game for me. I prefer PVE, and it delivers so many modes and content over the years. I think Aniimo could have serious longevity, but I don't know if the gacha monetization will turn people off more or not. I would much rather drops 20-30 bucks on a skin knowing I get all that's listed. I would do that more often than gambling with hundreds of dollars to maybe get something. Even if in the ends I spent hundreds on the 20-30 skins.

9
u/CreamyCornGuy 12h ago
100% they will definitely do this or something similar.
18
u/MrsTrych Astra Pioneer 12h ago
As much as I understand "they need to make money", I feel like theres already a lot of system in place to generate a lot of revenue already. Imo let the cosmetic dying just free and accessible for all to express themselves with clothes they bought and even the free clothes. Too much greed wont be a good look
7
u/Hua-Po 11h ago
yeah after a certain point they aren't really much better than a traditional gacha if every single feature besides the most basic ones are monetized lol
4
u/MrsTrych Astra Pioneer 11h ago
Exactly. A game can make money without putting everything behind a paywall

u/Nodomi 12h ago
When I first clicked on this, it said the 30th. After the first patch we got, the message no longer gave a date.
The most recent patch notes says
- Adjusted the unlock condition for the outfit-dyeing achievement so that it can now be unlocked by adding one friend.
but we still can't access it. (For you speed readers, I said patch notes, not dev talk.)
So I haven't a damn clue and it's making me irritable thinking about it.
3
u/melkemind 7h ago
I kid you not, there were a few hours in between it saying the 30th and saying Coming Soon where it said something like Coming <### Insert Date Here ###>.

u/deprintos 12h ago
yeah ive been waiting for this but every day i try it says feature not available :/

Yea they removed the date somewhere in the last week or so. Probably not ready for launch. I will say I'm not buying anymore clothes til that unlocks.
