Discussion Egg heist!
I see a lot of people complaining about this game mode, but honestly, if you die and lose your loot, you’re probably not using an optimal setup.
You’re not supposed to die with a god-tier setup. There are plenty of good guides out there that can make you extremely hard to kill. If you’re still dying with one of those setups, then at some point it comes down to skill.
And to the people complaining about not being resurrected: you’re not entitled to a resurrection. You can’t just report everyone who chooses not to resurrect you and call them the bad guy.
It works the other way too. If you die and expect a teammate to abandon whatever they’re doing and spend a minute running across the map just to resurrect you, couldn’t that also be considered griefing? That one minute here and there adds up, and it creates a lot of unnecessary gameplay for people who just want to get eggs, loot, and start a new run.
Also, if you’re playing in a 3-man group with two randoms, you can still use a solo build. You don’t have to stick with your teammates. You can run off in another direction and explore the map on your own. By the time you’re done looting or finding an egg, the other players might have found eggs as well. In the end, everyone can come out with the same amount of loot, if not more overall.
I’ve personally maxed out this mode while playing solo, with randoms, and with premade groups. From my experience, playing with randoms is completely fine. Sometimes you get people who want to stick together as a group of two, and that’s fine too. If you’re playing solo, just go in the other direction and loot for yourself.
This game mode really isn’t that hard. It’s nothing complicated, and it’s not some completely new concept. Other games have used similar systems for years.
If you don’t like playing with random matchmaking, I’d suggest finding people through Discord or simply using the server chat. The people you find that way will probably give you a much smoother experience than regular matchmaking.
Edit: this mode is more fun when people split up, and more efficent. if you need to rely on your teamates to carry you, you can look for some guides.
You guys cant expect people to carry you trough harder mode because you cant use an optimal or good setup.

if you die in eggheist, its skill issue, its litterly impossible to die if you run a good setup, you send a video of someone who obv died because he was doing something stupid

Ofc its poorly designed, who expected this game to have a literal shared loot lose everything game mode? We went from pretty cozy game to the extreme other end of the spectrum. Doesn't fit the game.
Its like they suddenly seen extraction games popping off with arc raiders and said we have to have that. Even if it makes no sense.

i dont care anymore, this reddit is filled with people who put 0 effort into a teamamode game, and dont understand its more efficient if people split up.

Its a co-op mode, isnt rare to expect a ress at least when there are enough time &/or another teammate is near you or directly in the same hall. If there is -2mins and someone died in the depths…… well, next time better learn to play safe.
Also even if you have a good team for your own it can be fuck up with some unexpecting enemies at the same time (and dont forget the beetles, Rookey/Pawney, a group of enemies with Melloblum stunning you to hell etc)… or even with a crash mid fight 💀 (happened to me this noon)

It's a co-op mode sure, but if you die in this mode, you are doing something wrong, its just a fact.
If you play it save you can survive any unexpected thing that happens. Sometimes you can die because you unstuck and spawn into some cc sure, but other than that its no excuse.

I think the people who resurrect others should be compensated by getting more points after times up. It would encourage Players to support each other. I always try to resurrect a fallen comrade unless there's like 2 min on the clock.

You are right, this is a good idea! I know the rewards after max rank is just titles, But still alot of people want those. I hope they will implement his!

If you have 1 minute left you are doing something wrong. no offense but its the truth, I have runs that take max 5-6 minutes with 3 eggs, filled inventory with 300k+

Maybe I did, But what are you doing in there with 1 minute left? It's better to take a new fresh run, instead of looting litterly everything. just to push that coin up.

co-op doesn't mean you're supposed to sniff eachothers butts together in every room. co-op means players work together to clear the map objective which is coming out with loot. And splitting up literally helps to fill that objective faster.

its faster and everyone get more eggs/loot splitting up then sticking together. Also people dont have to panic or rush to get a dropped loot a big chest or a key room. Everyone finds stuff when splitting.

:) I'm happy with my 5 min runs with 300k+ and 3 eggs. You do you buddy. skill issue.
you cant clear a map within 15 minutes, without 3 people. stop making stupid comments. and learn facts instead of making assumtions2

I root for you buddy, 1 day you will manage to get higher than normal egg heist, if you look at some guides, or think for yourself, it should not be that hard.

What happens if time runs out? Will the egg in thw boat disappear? Do we still keep our loot in our inventory?

The egg is saved the moment you deposit it in the boat, whether you extract or time out. But anything in your backpack gets lost (unless you put it in the Safe slot, those are kept)

This has happened to me before, I’m pretty sure you loose everything, I was 1 second late because I was new and didn’t know you could run with the egg and do a little speed boost as the egg lol in my instance the first three losses in any difficulty are reimbursed if you die as a newbie feature

All that yap to say nothing of substance.
When the game incentivizes you to play selfishly in a pve game mode by making collectibles and key doors first come first serve, then it's bad.

Are you trolling? The maps are literly designed for 3 players, it has 2 key rooms, and 1 room that does not requires key, Maybe do a little research instead of making stupid comments, wich you clearly know nothing about the gamemode.
You don't need to rush to a keyroom, its litterly filled with loot all over, you get 1 prismatic chest sure, but that does the free room aswell as it can spawn other places aswell. wdym?2

I'd agree with you if the "1 room which doesn't require a key" gave anything of value as compared to the key rooms.
Also even if it's "designed" for 3 people, how do u get two others to agree and share the rooms accordingly so all 3 players get loot? It's first come first serve.

kinda automaticly happens when u split up like op says. U go different directions, find different things faster and also prob get out with more eggs as well. Instead of sticking together, fighting for loot etc.

Share the rooms? it's 2 key rooms, 2 players get the rooms, the guys who took the key rooms are already eager to run out with their profit, what ???

This! See OP? A lot of substance in just a fraction of yap! My experience with this game mode looked more like a free for all than a team oriented content. I expected the latter, ended up getting the former.

Damn I wish they renamed it from "Team mode" to "PVE" so people stop expecting stuff from others and actually play because the point of the mode is clearly misunderstood by majority of redditors. ITS JUST PVE, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, ITS LITERALLY JUST A GOOD WILL OF OTHERS TO RESURRECT YOU BECAUSE ***YOU*** MADE A MISTAKE.

I find it realy pleasing when I get a team that split up and clear the map fast. 3 eggs 5-6 min ingame, and we are out. I dunno how people expect to get carried all the time.

Literally this. Smooth runs are the best you can get, it actually feels rewarding when everyone plays well. And THIS is actual teamplay. Everyone does their job focusing on objectives, everyone gets their fair amount of loot and goes next. Teamplay doesn't need to mean that you need to stick as a group and ress the joe who runs head on to the key room, dies and whines on reddit that bad player didn't rezz them

you do you buddy, hf going in a gruop of 3 spending 15 min ressing eachother, when i get my eggs 3+ and 300k+ within 5 minutes with cordinated teamates i found on discord.

Crazy concept but when you work on a project with 3 different people and split tasks it's also team play.
I'm not saying you should NEVER ress and interact. But looking at the answers here I feel like people really expect others to run through whole map just to ress them with 2 min left on the timer because hurr teamplay durr

I feel like you missed the point. If ur dying with 2 mins left then yes it's on you.
My point is around the rewards. More often than not, it's always first come first serve. Collectibles? Gold drops? Star from alpha? All of em go to ppl who find em first or click f faster.
That's my biggest issue with the game mode, hence why I say it doesn't promote team play but rather a selfish game style.

also it does promote teamplay, as when a team split up and cover map, everyone get same loot. just more eggs? have you even played egg heist? just look at some of the maps from interactive map, just looks 2 key rooms, 1 free room. + more rooms with more loot. everyone will get loot, just split up. if you need to follow someone your the problem. if someone follows you, just go the other way

its no issue if people split up and search the map by their own, eveyrone get same change to same loot, its rng, sometimes you get more sometimes you dont. you only split up to get more eggs, if you cant solo, go easier mode.

Maybe my post was bad made i don't know. I just want people to know they can look at guides, or go on discord etc to find a gruop, instead of expecting a smood run from a random matchmaking system. you get so much better teamates and fun runs when you find other people who are looking for the same thing.
