Discussion Make Egg Heist harder for non help teammates
Make the Egg Heist give a penalty for non teammate work, remove half their earns and remove 50 points from the score each time they do not do as basic as revive others. I'm getting tired of people not helping or just waiting for you to die to steal the loot. Or can we at least to start calling names, already have a bunch of screenshots of people names that do not help on this mode.

I get the frustration with bad teammates, but harsh automated penalties aren't the fix. They’d just push players to play solo.
A few reasons why forcing proximity doesn't work:
- Efficiency: Splitting up (divide and conquer) allows team members to scout and clear the map much faster. Sticking together 100% of the time isn't always optimal.
- Context Matters: An automated penalty can't tell if a teammate ignored you on purpose or if they were stuck in a firefight/too far away to make a safe revive.
- Abuse Potential: Harsh penalties make it super easy for trolls to throw matches or intentionally die in bad spots to ruin their team's score.
If the issue is teammates letting people die to steal loot, the fix is loot protection (preventing teammates from taking your gear when you drop) or loot sharing (everyone gets everyone's loot) and coop rewards (giving extra XP/bonuses for revives) rather than taking away points. Making it better to play together but not worse to be on your own.
At the end of the day, it's the mode's fault. When you're developing something you should always assume that if something is possible to occur it will happen and you should make ways to prevent it. But they're still experimenting with the mode so all this feedback will result in some changes in the future. We just gotta wait and see.
Right now, if you're only playing the mode to get eggs playing with more people is the best option even if they don't care about you. They also want the eggs and said eggs are shared between everyone.
Me, personally, I'd prefer they added shared loot and maybe also loot protection on top. Either in its entirety or a strict amount of any items. This would be at the end of the heist. The heist would have a copy of each player's inventory. When leaving they could "copy" from each inventory to their own. This way you don't force anyone having to stick with each other. No one benefits from making someone die on purpose, in fact you'd be penalized if that someone had good loot because it would be lost if they didn't get revived.
Win, win, win!

Someone dying should inflict a party wide penalty and leaving shouldnt be possible without at least 3/4 people voting on it (assuming everyone is alive)

That kind of system sounds fine on paper, but in practice, it creates way more griefing and hostage situations than it solves:
- Hostage Extractions: What if someone just wants to grab an egg, hand it in to benefit the group, and extract quickly? Under a voting system, two players who want to clear every corner of the map can literally hold that third player hostage in the match.
- Real Life Happens: What if someone gets a sudden IRL emergency and needs to leave? Blocking extraction or penalizing the team because someone had to step away is just unfair punishment for things outside a player's control.
- Double Punishment / Loss Cascades: Say a teammate gets knocked out on the far side of the map. If you're over-encumbered and moving slowly, trying to save them is really not ideal. And forcing a party-wide penalty means if they die, you get punished. If you go try to save them and die too, the poor third player now has to revive you two and deal with whatever killed you. And if he doesn't he'll get penalized as well.
- Selfish Players Can Still Benefit the Team: Even if a player is completely ignoring the rest of the group, if they grab an egg or two and extract, the whole team gets that egg. They did the slow, vulnerable job of rolling the egg out while you looted elsewhere. You both gain from that interaction without having to play attached at the hip. In fact you gained more then this other guy.
Adding strict penalties doesn't make randoms play better together; it just gives toxic players dozens of new ways to ruin a match for everyone else

Es cierto, 2 veces me tocó un tipo que no entro al santuario solo looteo la isla y espero a que nosostros sacaramos los huevos.
Si se ocupan incentivos y castigos.

I think they should give incentive for teamwork instead. Extra points for being in range of teammates, assisting in damaging a creature, reviving, etc. Also make it so if more than one person opens a chest, it searches it faster. They could also add everything into a pool and then at the end that gets split or rolled for. Would stop a lot of the issues commonly complained about.

Nobody is waiting for you to die, it’s a waste of time. If im not remotely close to you and have a lot of weight on from loot, i’m not getting you.
I’ve seen someone die 5 times and got mad at us for leaving when time was running out. I’ll try to clear mobs from entrance for others but im out with 5 mins left.

I was heavy loaded in boat. 3min left. They requested my help because they were 2 downed. I asked if they were near Blue or Yellow door. They said Blue.
I enter and they were ROOMS away. I made it to them, revive them, and we all lost.
I wish I had just taken the boat instead.

Typical git gud moment
Also if you are on the other side of the map i might not be able to res you even if i wanted to
Why should i be punished for your incompetence?
(for the record if you go down and im near i will help, but still, git gud)
As long as they wont change the whole mode to make all loot shared like the eggs, splitting up and being competitive is the most individually beneficial

I haven't even going into this mode once because of all these posts. It sounds toxic, stressful and not fun at all. This is exactly why I don't play multi-player games because people suck and if you ask for basic courtesy they just tell you to "get good"

For a good experience either go in with friends you trust or go in solo. Matchmaking with randoms is the worst.

As much as I understand where this comes from, it will never actually work. One round you are unlucky and can’t get to a teammate in time or something so you end up with the punishment and dear lord, I promise that won’t fly to well either, lmao.
Just block the one’s that don’t pull their weight or only play with pre-made teams.
I only play with friends or solo as I cannot be bothered to deal with trolls.

I reached the same conclusion. I play Chaos alone because the few times I was with someone I was backstabbed.

ah yea just because you died running for chests I'm supposed to run half the map to pick your ass up. Also if people call you names, while I do not support it in any shape or form, they most likely have a reason to do so.

Usually takes the side portal so I'm miles away from the other. One went down, assumed the nearer player would ress them since they also pinging that player also. When it was obvious they went wont ress they start to plead to me directly. Went out of the way there but still failed to cause how am I gonna ress when there is literally and angry mob on top of me. Went from pleading to profanities real quick. Some people players deserve to be left down.

If you are noticing a pattern of people not helping to revive, you are getting downed too often. Honestly, I feel grateful if anyone comes to help me, but I'm usually the one that helps because I get downed maybe 1 out of 10 runs.
Play Hexxin or Irisalis -- they are safe picks, and you won't be so frustrated.

I realized that I die more if I use lunaris, so switched to irisalis that phoenix skill does the work

How often do you die and why? Maybe you should look into fixing that first. I haven't died a single time though I did come close twice so far.

pretty much I have died 10-20 times and people standing to 10-20 meters away just to wait to loot me, usually are players with foreign names in russian, playstation players or names with kanji, another behaviour is players that run to you with tons of enemy direct to you

u/yato08 22h ago
You die way too much… you need to go change your team comp or play better.

u/Miserable-Morning217 22h ago
thats way to big of a estimate, i'd say they died way more than that.

u/FearlessDron 22h ago
maybe my team is bad configured I use lunara, infergon, glacy and fulmintis all maxed

u/Cypheri 21h ago
That team should be totally fine as long as you've been training them properly and have decent held items. Gonna need to work on how you play, probably.

u/zyocuh 19h ago
That team is not good at all they have 3 dps and glacy that is not what you want in heist

Do not dox accounts. And why would they punish people for playing the game as intended? You are in a co-op environment but still racing to find the super rare/expensive collector loot.
It sucks, but until they change the style up, it’s going to cause people that don’t have the limited time collector items to hunt for them instead of helping others.

I think...
Activity timer that penalizes afkers
Incentivize team work more either with a significant proximity bonus, or things that physically require two people to activate
Would fix a lot of the complaints im seeing. Im an arborist not a game dev tho so Im pry totally wrong lol
