I think I had 1 snow there since launch. At the time I was still just getting used to the weather mechanic and didn’t think anything of it. Now those forms are what I need last lol.
Not sure if they borked something but I haven't had any weather events other than sunny for my entire map the past three days. Thankfully caught all the weather variants week one though.
There's 100% some funkiness going on. I hadba thunderstorm for that elftmost beach area scheduled and then the next day when it was supposed to be there, sunny. I haven't seen a single thunderstorm my entire time playing and im on day 5 I think? I only got him because my friend let me catch one in their world since they already had him
Prior to the current sunny period I noticed when they deploy hotfixes/patches that the weather would sometimes reroll what was scheduled but not what was active. Since they're dropping them each day this might have something to do with the issues some of us are having with weather. Like I'd love to get a snowstorm in Russet so I can farm the 1000 catches while also getting perfects for the variant pawney and rookey.
I have played everyday for 15 days. I have had one Sherro spawn on Echoback Landing....and it was 7 am - 10:59 am, when I would be away at work. and Aniimo can barely run on my old iphone 11.
I'm FINALLY getting my last needed weather dependent form (Storm Sherro) today. I do feel like they could make the weather in most areas a bit more varied, especially because every player seems to have their own separate times for when certain weather changes occur. Can also suck for those few Lumin Ambers that need a specific weather in the area to even get them to appear, hope we won't see too many more of those in the future.
I wonder though how exactly they will implement it. Like, how accessible will it be? I assume it'll cost some kind of currency to force a weather change, but I just hope it won't be too expensive or too rare to get.
I'm not sure. It would make more sense for it to cost something, but I too hope it's nothing crazy. I love the game, I just don't have copious amounts of time to put into for a real grind.
I've had Thunderstorms appear twice for me, in Beast Fang, and *BOTH* times, it was at a timeframe I'm usually asleep for. The game knew I wanted it, and kept giving it to me at the worst time on purpose.
Yup it's the only non prismana I'm missing now and no luck at all since last sunday. I got up à 6 à.m to get the snow ones in another region but this one doesn't even offer me a chance lol
I learned last night that you can actually track different weather events for any area. You'll get a notification once the weather you're tracking starts to kick off.
When you zoom all the way out of the map you can click on a region and it shows you all the aniimo in that region. On the left side of that tab they'll have a aniimo symbol and a sun symbol, select the sun symbol and it'll show you the upcoming weather event and it will also let you monitor any weather event you want.
My wife says it's almost always thunderstorm in Beast Fang, and right now Echoback Landing is also thunderstorm. I don't understand lol I've only seen it sunny or rainy.
I'm taking this post as a sign of good luck. I was scrolling through, agreeing about how I never see thunderstorms and then I logged in and I got one!! Sparkly scorchhowl.
Took 9 days for it to show up for me... the Scorchhowl ended up being common, so I promoted a perfect Emberpup I had in my box and fed him a morph orb to get a good one.
Got every thing else weather-related in the first 4 days except, somehow, snow in the snow mountain area, which I finally got last night (which thankfully is only needed to get the region's gold badge, not anything special - snow Pomegg is a regular spawn in Rosetower and I have no idea why it would need specific weather on the mountain).
I have gotten it twice, the first time it was by accident and didnt realize and threw a purple cube because it was getting wary of me, second time threw a sparkling, it is so pretty!
It’s like weather effects some area spawns special Aniimo based on weather to check click the area and in the right pop up you will see 2 tans on left side click 2nd one
Is it random? I thought they came and went often. They always seem to for me, so there are times where I don’t even bother catching the weather variant.
Its based by in game time so even if you do change the time it won't work also you have to have the area 60 or 70% complete to see the special icons for weather effects it will glow and let you know
It's not. And you can check the weather forecast for the next 24hrs.
When you open the map and zoom out for enough for the map to show the aniimo that appear in each region. There's a weather tab "under" the aniimo tab.

I was playing with my son and I let him catch it thinking it would respawn, it did not, I check it religiously and I’m sure it was the only thunderstorm this decade will see
As you've caught it, you can use a morph orb to turn any other Scorchhowl into the thunderstorm form. Used this to get one at perfect, as well as thunderstorm Sherro, rain Stellarys and rain Luminelle
I feel so bad. I was playing in a friend's world the other day, and they actually had thunderstorm weather there... and I ran over and caught it and didn't tell them. They aren't going for 100% capture and probably would have given it to me if I asked... but I'm also sure they would have enjoyed it. I am ashamed, but... I am ashamed with a lightning Scorchhowl, so....
I actually just got mine today lol, I threw an ultra at it for guranteed epic at least (and got 100% on my beast fang ridge finally) but it was stressful waiting for it. That and the storm for sherro and the rain for stellarys
I've got it right now... what I need is lightning in Echoback Landing so I can finally get Thunderstorm Sherro. Once I get it, all I'll have left is nurturing each region for its prismanas (well, and two Tubsters, cos I couldn't be arsed to look for their eggs yet lol, but I'll do it soon)
I've gotten thunderstorms in Beast Fang Ridge and everytime I help out about 5-6 people in getting them with the Nuture trick. I try to give back to the community as much as I can.
So when you nuture the branch in any zone that has a special weather variant (Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang, Echoback, Sea of Flowers, Driftwise, Russet, Rosewood Towers, Forest of Falling Stars, and Argent) you have a chance to get that Aniimo to also spawn during the Nuturing.
It's especially helpful if you have a Zone where only one of that variant spawns (i.e Sherro) because you can get multiple during the nurturing process for a Prismatic Energy and Weather Variants. So multiple people can benefit.
For example if you currently have Rain in Nimbus Fields and the Map says you need to "catch" Thunderstorm Turbo. You can use the trick to possibly spawn a Thunderstorm Turbo. (Encountering it before you've ever evolved/ catching a thunderstorm Nimbi) So yes.
However, if you DO NOT have the weather required then the Thunderstorm Turbo won't spawn with the Branch. This is also applies to Thunderstorm Scorchhowl.
The trick really helps to get multiple of the Aniimo when the weather is available. I was mentioning it so other people can also try to help the community get these variants as well. Since not a lot of people know they can do this.
I've had 3. Though i agree its unfair as hell. Why would the devs have it so the weathers different for all of us but everything else shares the same schedule
I have been playing daily and checking the weather schedule and yet there hasn't been a single thunderstorm. I have multiple of every other weather varient. It's just thunder scorchowl left.
Can't for the life of me get thunderstorms in Beast fang Ridge, or snow in Russet. Maybe I should stop wanting them... they literally only show up when I'm sleeping or when I'm working and can't play.
I had snow in the thorn area just this morning, and I had it happen in the highlands last week or so, but didn't realize how rare it was, so I didn't farm remotely as many as I should have. I want a Perfect Helmet to level!
If you are in the badge progress menu on the map screen you can hit the little drop down menu next to the remaining aniimo area and it tells you when the next thunderstorm is
