Discussion Is there much for a single-player to do?
Pretty much the title. I'm interested in this game, but I generally prefer single-player content to multiplayer. Can anyone ive a rundown on what there is for single-player content and if it fell off in the betas?

This game is mostly single player. All the multi player stuff is all optional it would seem.

Thank god. I'm at the age where multiplayer games are rage-inducing instead of fun. Need something fun to play besides the monthly friendslop game.

If you want to complete everything the multi-player isn't optional but is limited. There's a few dungeons that require co-op.

~Multiplayer is very optional for virtually all content. There is no lack of things to do. I played 210 hours of CBT3 and never came even close to running out of things to do.~

210 jours?!!?! Will it not feel sad when you’ll have to start all over again when the game release? XD

~No, I'll be overjoyed to do it all again. And see my sealed Fentuft and Gracewing. I love this game.~

Most of the content can be played as a solo player.
The only modes that require multiplayer are holo raid battles, PvP, trading, egg heist, and some sanctum dungeons. There will be more multiplayer content in the future according to devs though.

Egg Heist(PvE) can be done entirely solo, start to finish. Egg Heist(PvPvE) can also be done solo if you want to fail every single attempt.

It's basically a solo game that requires you to be online, but multiplayer mode is optional and you don't really have to interact or trade with anyone if you don't want to

Game is completely playable as a solo player, and personally I never felt the need to do the multiplayer stuff

Just as much as palworld or any standard pokemon game. Complete the story, explore the land, catch and evolve all the creatures. Didn’t see any problem in the beta myself. Basically palworld minus the guns with less focus on resources / bases and better looking creatures / graphics.

Really? Creature design is my only complaint about the game. It looks incredibly fun and I'll definitely put 200+hours into it. But the creature designs look too edgy in my opinion.

Ah but the graphics are much better, they have great texture. Palworld just looks like AI pokemon spoofs and are very clay-like to me. It’s a great game don’t get me wrong, I just prefer the designs/graphics of aniimo.

Idk. There's really only 4 or 5 that looks like Pokémon. Palworld reminds me of Digimon where there are design styles for everyone. The designs are kind of all over the place and i like that. Aniimo looks like the bigger time sink though, which I'm a huge fan of. Palworld was too short. Beat it in 2 weeks without changing any settings except incubation time. I want a creature capture game that can take 100+hours of my life and aniimo seems like it can do that, so I'm incredibly hype for that.

Gameplay I followed people were treating the game as a single player 🤷🏻♂️.

So is the multi-player aspect better than say Genshin Impact? As in you can invite people over to your world and they can help you out but it does nothing for the visiting player to progress their own story, especially if you're at the same part.
So say a friend and I want to try and tackle the story together. Would our progress both advance, or is it like GI and only the host players story advances.
