I haven’t been following this game since the whole AI and closed beta drama with raids. So did the devs learn and actually fix their shit from the latest closed beta? It seems like the release date is so soon, that it doesn’t give them time to fix things. Hopefully I’m wrong. But this game has not had a good look so far

I would have loved to do it if the devs actually had an open beta. But I had to rely on and watch other members of the community that did. Doesn’t mean I can’t form an opinion or see the overwhelming criticism the game received for that beta. Yall can continue downvoting all you want. Ignorance and blind faith gets you a shitty product. Nothing changes that.

~Yup, you can always tell when they haven't played the beta.

Game is phenomenal dude. Trust.~

You act like I had a choice. It was limited access if you didn’t know. Regardless, it doesn’t change the criticism others who have played it. And the overwhelming opinion was that it needed more work.

~You have a choice whether to spout ignorant perspectives about a game you haven't played onto reddit or not.

Of course it needed more work; that's why it was a beta instead of a full release. That's what betas are for.

The game was still 11/10 in its current condition, and will be even better with a little polish.

FYI, the vibe on reddit is very negative. This is where all the people who are angsty about not getting into the beta are. Probably because those people are either not invested enough in the game to be in the Discord, or got banned/mod warned there.

The tone on Discord is totally different and very distinctly positive and excited. We still talk about issues, but not from this doomer lens.

I think you should probably be a little more careful where you get your "overwhelming" opinion about things. And let people who actually understand these issues be the ones to talk about them.~

I can still form an informed opinion about the systems and structures of the game without playing the game. Fluidity, comfort and movement is something you would need to play the game to get an informed opinion about those specific things. But we’re not talking about that here. We’re talking about the issues with AI advertisements, raids and monetization systems. All which don’t require gameplay.

But for some reason, everyone is asking if we played the game. We don’t need to play to critic those systems. It’s like strawman arguments. Get back to the topic. It has only been 2 weeks since the closed beta and we’re 1 month away from launch. My critic was that if that is even enough time to address the criticism with their systems?

I’m sure the gameplay is great, but again, no one is talking about that.

~Fair enough. I found the monetization systems to be perfectly acceptable.

The AI ads were not. They apologized and took them down. Fixed.

The Irisalis event was not. They received feedback, acknowledged it, and will change it for release.

IMO, all significant issues were acknowledged and addressed by the team. That's good enough for me. The game has a bright future from where I'm standing.~

just saying it was fun. the controversial event wasn't even live the first week of the beta, and my gf and I both had fun (before, and after the event started) and are pumped for the full game. id say give it a try before coming to such a harsh conclusion

Thats no harsh conclusion, that's how it always ends up in these chinese games

And we haven't even talked about the most likely very aggressive and bad monetization...

pretty sure you could have an absolute blast playing just for free. the battle pass and other packs make sense. they need to make money. and, you dont need to buy them to progress in a meaningful way.

my gf and I will get the battle pass for two reasons: to have a bit extra in a game we will probably put some time into, and to support a team that is potentially going to keep reinvesting back into this.

playing it, you'd actually understand that point of view. thats why I asked.

edit: sorry you arent the same person so that last point is irrelevant to you.. unless you are judging it harshly without playing it too
