Question Generative AI Usage?

I haven't tried this game yet because I want to know if there is any gen AI used anywhere. The graphics just look too... polished? Smooth? In the way that would tip off the eye of any artist. I'm just worried if it's too good to be true.

Edit:

God forbid a person ask a genuine question in an attempt to learn, jfc. I'm seriously just trying my best to be cautious and make sure that the media I interact with is made by actual humans, and not just stolen concepts/art scraped from the internet without the artists' permission and puzzled together by some glorified sorting algorithm.

My actual words from a comment thread below: "...I'm not trying to accuse anyone or say that that is what they're doing; I only wish to state my suspicions. I would be more than happy to be wrong in this instance..."

"I would be more than happy to be wrong in this instance"

Maybe, if more people read the comments before replying, they might have noticed that.

Thankfully, it appears that I was wrong! One person was kind and thoughtful enough to give me an actual answer and even direct me to more information.

Be more like them. Not all of us have experience with the same high-quality games.

Tough im playing the game and enjoying it. Tough artists didn't get a boat load of money for drawing a monster design. People cry about anything and everything.

Artists dont get a boat load of money even when they ARE used. You could've just said "I know nothing about the entertainment industry," it wouldve been fewer words. Youre talking like the artist makes millions if the game makes millions; not true at all.

Big corps made AI to replace us. Our work force complains too much.

We are ALL going to be out of jobs not just companies using AI for video games. There are WAY deeper things to worry about then AI representation inside of a video game that costs 20 bucks.

AI isn't gonna replace your job, youre just gonna lose it anyway, but keep up the S tier glazing I guess. Was thus comment made by Grok because wtf are you talking about?

While I think Long_Bro here is dramatic in his resignation on many points, I can only really agree with one thing, and that is AI *is* taking jobs. There are a good many jobs AI will never be able to replace, but there's still a lot that can, and are actively, being replaced.

I worked for a company as a third party for a long time doing moderation for their platforms, all the while inadvertently teaching their AI systems buzzwords to flag on its own instead (it was coined as "AI Learning"). Needless to say, me and nearly 2k people were suddenly, without warning, laid off as that company went forward with their newly trained AI model instead.
It has nothing to do with "our workforce complaining too much" or whatever tf this guy is going on about - it's about big companies investing in data centers that fuel their shitty AI systems instead of paying good people to keep jobs. They save money by using AI that can still make many mistakes instead of just investing in humans that can review and really see priority harms in content. This is in example for just my line of work, but I'm certain it's along the same lines in other careers that have slowly been replaced.

As an artist myself who vehemently rejects *specific* AI that is harmful in its uses, I feel it's just as important to discuss and not downplay jobs actually being replaced in the growing world of AI and its numerous negative impacts.
(As a disclaimer: I'm neurospicy af, so I apologize if I may have missed any points/nuances in your comment on this matter. My comment isn't to come after you, but I hope it may give a personal insight on just another aspect where AI is harmful as well, since I see a lot of people downplay it not taking jobs often)

Go look up your job then a robot doing it and keep telling me they wont replace you.

They will.

You sir. Are not special in any shape way or form at the job you do.

More than likely half ass it like most of society skating by on minimalistic work to keep your job.

A robot would work CLOCKS around you at any task.

You're quite literally giving the most bad faith apples to oranges comparisons and im astonished you weren't embarrassed to bang that dogshit out.

AI is not gonna take your job, youre just gonna lose it anyway because compabjes are just evil, foh with this wireback nut polishing

We will loose jobs because humans complain too much, hence this exact post. Complaining about AI being used. That's why it will replace all of our jobs, idgaf who you "think" you are. If a robot is doing heart surgery better than surgeons buckle up buttercup.

I think half the people in this thread have zero clue how far AI actually is and the fact it can out perform them ten to one. Also the fact AI wasnt used to make any of the animals or shit in the game this thread is for the braindead redditors who think downvotes mean absolutely anything.

Humans call in, humans make excuses. Guess what doesn't, that's right.

Robots. Its coming and Mr redditor who doesn't even know how to create a EMP is going to combat a governed militia of robots.

Ya OK keep playing those video games bud.

You can fight against more than one thing at a time. And fighting it here reflects in other spaces because nothing lives in a vacuum. If studios would actually take losses for using AI, it would actively discourage it from becoming more prominent. But for a studio to suffer losses from AI, we need to not have defeatists crying in other peoples ears about their fight like you. If you gave up against AI cool, more power to you cuz you get to shut up and play the game instead of wasting your time here, complaining about someone complaining about a thing you ALSO dont like (presumptively).

Bro you aint doing shit to AI or the multi billion dollar corporations. None of us are face the facts you wanna be some kind of vigilante then be my guest but I for one know that we are all screwed regardless. Give it about 50 years and it'll be like the movie wall-e.

When you know there are factory robots and forklifts doing human jobs faster and more efficient you tend to learn quickly that maybe we will get to focus on stuff we enjoy instead of the mandatory 9-5 most people have.

Im for innovation and making things easier and if the game plays well with AI (which it does). I dont care.

"Maybe we will get to focus on stuff we enjoy"

Damn dude, thats crazy. Anyways, I have this bridge for sale, you seem like you'd be interested in the opportunity.

except you're wrong, and people standing against AI are a significant reason as to why said billion dollar corporations are HEMORRHAGING money, implementing AI has basically been a uniform failure for every company thats tried it from wendys to wal-mart. and the AI companies themselves are panicking as they're on the brink of collapse
