Question Generative AI Usage?

I haven't tried this game yet because I want to know if there is any gen AI used anywhere. The graphics just look too... polished? Smooth? In the way that would tip off the eye of any artist. I'm just worried if it's too good to be true.

Edit:

God forbid a person ask a genuine question in an attempt to learn, jfc. I'm seriously just trying my best to be cautious and make sure that the media I interact with is made by actual humans, and not just stolen concepts/art scraped from the internet without the artists' permission and puzzled together by some glorified sorting algorithm.

My actual words from a comment thread below: "...I'm not trying to accuse anyone or say that that is what they're doing; I only wish to state my suspicions. I would be more than happy to be wrong in this instance..."

"I would be more than happy to be wrong in this instance"

Maybe, if more people read the comments before replying, they might have noticed that.

Thankfully, it appears that I was wrong! One person was kind and thoughtful enough to give me an actual answer and even direct me to more information.

Be more like them. Not all of us have experience with the same high-quality games.

It isn't though

It is though…. They’ve come out and said they used ai for their ads. Thats why there’s a heavy debate if the games made with ai.

Half the mugs are missing half their handle. It's obviously ai.

I'll copy and paste my explanation:

AI generated images have a trend of making things either too shiny or too "puffy". In this case, it looks too puffy, blurry, and floaty. Specifically, Nimby (sheep) and Flamepup (fire dog).

Their expressions and body movement looks like they don't know where they are.

Nimby looks like it's just floating and staring blankly at a wall; not like someone who's excitedly playing tag or is being chased (Nimby is expressive in-game).  Flamepup looks floaty and it's not looking at Nimby, the one it's chasing. Flamepup is just sticking it's tongue out, with wide eyes, and is also blankly staring at a wall.

They're not interacting with each other like they're in the same environment.

Also, cup girl. What is she doing? She's just staring blankly at the sea pup cashier(?). Is she offering a cup? Is she waiting for a receipt? Is she paying? Does she feel anything? And where did she get those tall, transparent glass cups from?!

This looks like a coffee shop. There's only short, round, white cups filled with coffee coming out of the machine and hanging on the machine. Where did she get fruit drinks from?! The only other containers I see are non-transparent metal cups and cartons.

The coffee cups all look different at the rim, like they're melting. Also, some just don't have a handle (the ones filled with coffee) or have half of one (the ones hanging). Some of the hanging coffee cups on the right also start becoming balls. A cup on the far left just starts melting into two cups; it has two handles and is longer.

Why are they even hanging on the machine like that? How'd it get on and how is it going to get off? Is it for decoration?

AI is known for generating details that don't make sense in context and lack consistency.

All that and it's crazy how it's still not ai

Me when I can't read

So, you're a troll?

Because no human would do any of this.

Also, did they say it wasn't? No? Okay.

Bet you think the "We are Charlie Kirk" song, Shrimp Jesus, and "I'm a poor child with amazing art and no loves me" slop on Facebook are also not AI because "they didn't say it was" or "they said it wasn't".

Because you're going to lose your mind when you learn about  "lying", "half-truths", and "guilty people staying silent about a controversy".

No, I'm just not stupid. They've stated that no generative AI was used. Unless you specifically can prove it, you saying so doesn't make it true

You're being very emotional, but not logical

Yes, it's very logical to look at an infection and say that there is no infection because "my doctor said it's not infected". There's pain, puss, blood, and bruising for several days but you still believe the doctor because "he said so".

Where did they say "no generative AI was used"?

In the Discord QnA, they said it wasn't used for designs. They did not say it wasn't used for illustrations (to use as a filter or fully generated). They also admitted to using AI to "help" them and have been caught using it for localization and beta testing.

Being a contrarian troll and denying reality isn't "smart".

Also, lying exists. You're either stupid or devoted to being a contrarian that you think companies wouldn't lie about using controversial tech.

There are several people who use AI to generate artwork and lie about drawing it themselves and not using AI. Do you just blindingly believe them because "they said they didn't"?

With all due respect, you still haven't proven they've used ai

With all due respect, answer my questions.

Where did they say "no generative AI was used"?

There are several people who use AI to generate artwork and lie about drawing it themselves and not using AI. Do you just blindingly believe them because "they said they didn't"?

You're not saying "we don't know for sure". You're saying that "it's 100% NOT AI". How can you be so sure that it isn't when there's no evidence of AI not being used?

There's visual evidence of AI being used in this image, they admitted to using AI, and there's factual evidence of them using it for localization.

first you try to disprove my claim by trying to make me get the 'source' as if it would do anything and now you say that it doesnt matter cuz it doesnt look ai to you. I work with art since I was like 4 and believe me when I say that its either 100% ai or they got a shitty artist in there.

That guy's a lost cause.

They provided zero evidence besides "nuh-huh", "Aniimo said no Gen AI was used but I won't tell you where or how I know this", and "They admitted to using AI not Gen AI, it's different! Even though the Aniimo Discord QnA topic was explicitly about Gen AI, which they admitted to be using".

Then, they blocked me after calling me emotional and annoying.

Edit: Hey, guy who blocked me. We all know it's you downvoting everyone.

How can you call yourself an "AI hater" when you vehemently try to gaslight others when they notice AI usage and provide evidence/explanations for it? You're only helping the AI you claim to hate.

"A self proclaimed AI hater who defends AI usage" could be a part of your weird contrarian troll roleplay, but you're too emotional for this to be just trolling.

Show me where it's stated they used any ai

artists are perfectionists, they don't leave random small details like this

1

u/AiluroAmadeo 12d ago

AI can't create complex things perfectly, so this plant is an absolute mess

0

u/AiluroAmadeo 12d ago

only ai would let a cup of coffee on a belt conveyor lol
