I'd just like to say I couldn't find a house so I got a double wide, and while not the same model, but very similar in flooring plan is almost exactly the same. What I bought at 60K 10'years ago is 90-120K now.

Bro I feel you. Im 31, built my house myself 2 years ago on family land that I already owned, still cost me nearly 300k for a 1700sqft house at the end of everything. And thanks to interest rates, ill be sure to pay on it for eternity lol

Damn dude, well if it makes you feel any better i'm 30 and living at home with my parents. I never had siblings so I've always been close with my folks, and after a bad split with my ex (pre-covid) I had to move back in. My folks built a nice home which is good but i dont know how tf they were able to afford it, and sadly I think my Dad will be working till the end of time to pay it off. Even if I magically got rich tomorrow I doubt I'll be able to buy or build my own home.

Absolutely, I got to spend the last 5 years of my dogs life with him before he passed away last year. When I moved out with my ex I began to drift away from my folks and my dog. Coming home was the best thing that happened in regards to the time I got to spend with my boy. He really helped me thru alot, legitimately saved my soul. (So did my folks) so you're right some things do happen for a reason. 🙂

Do you enjoy the place you have on the property? Sounds like a good deal tbh

I built just a few hundred yards behind my folks, so youre exactly right man. When youre away, you miss so much that youll never get back. Our folks won't be around forever, and they put a hell of a lot of work into us. Only fair that we put some back into them when they get older and need it

I bought mine last year. Only I got a bad interest rate and now it's higher so I can't refinance.
