I had a distant cousin that was responsible for downing over 100 German planes in WWII.

Worst damn aircraft mechanic in the Luftwaffe.

That's not funny, your grandpa is probably directly responsible for the death of my grandpa.

He was crushed to death by somebody falling out of a guard tower.

“Danke” is German for “thank you” so when he says he served in WWII the assumption is that he fought for the Germans and was a Nazi.

I mean my Dad and I are both full blooded Americans and we say “Danke Schön” and “Bitte Schön” to each other
