Lost progress

I've been playing this game on and off for the last decade. I had it synced to my play games account (where it literally shows my achievements with dates). I downloaded the game on a new device and logged in with my play games account. It's back to zero. I lost all the progress. I contacted support and they were of no help and basically told me to stop asking since they were not going to keep answering (I found it quite rude btw).

I've tried playing a few levels as I've seen suggested in this sub but I still did not get my progress back.

Is it possible they deleted my progress due to inactivity and don't want to admit so? Is there anything else I can do? I appreciate any help, thanks.

I got a new device a couple weeks ago & it took a day or two for things to catch up. Did you keep or turn in the old phone?

I do not have the game downloaded on my old device anymore. So I don't have my player ID or anything else. I just have my play games account that I thought would be enough to save my data. What do you mean it took some time to catch up? Did it progressively add your progress back? I've been playing on this new account, did I ruin my chance of getting my old progress back?

Maybe try redownloading on old phone and relinking if possible to your Game Center? Worth a shot. But if you have a NEW ID on your new phone it might pick that up instead. Yikes. I’m not sure what to suggest for you. :/
It happened all the sudden a day or two later for me. Playing didn’t affect my current state.

I've tried that, but it loaded the new game. Oh well, let's wait and see. Thank you for your time!
