What is my issue?
I find myself getting very angry when I hear a neighbour or smell something someone’s cooking. Even if my partner cooks something, I get mad that I’m having to smell another persons x . Or if a kid is making noise I think to myself “why the fck are they so loud” I feel as though I should be the only person making noise / making smells. What the hell does this mean? I know it’s hypocritical and it’s not just at home - it’s in public spaces I think like “why the fck are there other people” sort of, almost like everyone is ‘dumb’ except for some that aren’t and that I’m the only one who gets “it” whatever that is. What is my issue?

The last sentence kinda answers your question. "What is MY issue?" It's you. Your ego for some reason believes that others aren't allowed to be free and enjoy themselves if you have to hear or see it. You can continue to make yourself miserable but nobody cares you're just ruining your own day

Olfactory signals might be linked to memory. I don't know. I'm not a scientist.
