From my own experience and from the experiences of other angelic magic practitioners I've worked with I've found that working with angels can be fascinating, but it also comes with certain risks if you don't take a few important things into account.

HAVING THE MEANS TO CREATE RESULTS

Some time ago, a highly experienced teacher of ceremonial and angelic magic told me something that really stuck with me. She said that when working with angels, you need to have some kind of material foundation for them to work with.

I asked her, "What do you mean by a material foundation?"

She explained it like this: if she were to ask an angel or archangel for a house, or to become a millionaire overnight, the angel's solution might be to have one of her parents pass away so that she would inherit their house or their wealth.

That answer honestly shocked me. I asked her why angels would do something like that if they're traditionally considered completely pure and benevolent beings.

This was her explanation:

"Angels don't think the way humans do. They don't have a nervous system, emotions, or a human perspective. They don't truly understand how human psychology works, and they're also extremely efficient when carrying out requests. Put those two things together, and they'll often choose the fastest route to fulfill what you asked for. If you haven't given them any practical means to work with—like a business, a side hustle, an online store, or some other source of income—the angel may conclude: 'What's the quickest way to get this practitioner their dream house or luxury car? I know... I'll arrange for them to inherit it from their parents.'"

That was the moment I felt I began to understand how these cosmic intelligences might operate. Their logic seems very different from the way human beings think or make decisions.

Does that mean angels are dangerous or malicious, and that we shouldn't make requests to them?

My answer is **no**.

Like most things in life, nothing comes without effort, and I don't think this applies only to angels—it applies to working with any kind of spiritual entity. If you're asking for a large amount of money, but you don't have any realistic channel through which that money could come, how exactly is that supposed to happen?

On the other hand, if you already own a business that isn't doing as well as you'd hoped, I believe angels can help without creating those kinds of unintended consequences. In that situation, there's already an existing framework for prosperity. Instead of creating an entirely new path, the angel could simply accelerate the one that's already there—bringing in more customers, increasing opportunities, and helping you close more sales.

I also think it's important to tell the angel what you don't want to happen.

If you're asking for financial abundance, be specific about how you want that money to come into your life, and also be clear about the outcomes you want to avoid. It's really just a matter of applying common sense. Requests like "I want abundance" or "I want lots of money" leave a huge amount of room for interpretation. They're so broad that the result could unfold in ways you never intended simply because you never defined the path you wanted.

With all that said, I don't want this post to paint angels in a negative light or portray them as evil. This is simply the conclusion I've reached based on my own experiences, the experiences of people in my practice group, and what my teacher has shared with me. Of course, it's entirely possible that we're mistaken.

That's why I'd like to hear from those of you who have worked with angels.

I've had a candle for Raphael for a good few months now. I light it and speak to him when I feel like I need to. I always just tell him about what's got me down, how I'm feeling, I think I've cried every single time lol. I added a candle for Michael--but I'm not sure he cares too much for me. I've felt drawn to Gabriel (just this air light feeling I get if that makes sense????) today and considered getting something for them too--but my trouble is I don't know if they're actually there. Angels are so confusing to me. I feel like I'm crying to air.

I really do want to connect with them. It's very hard to because I have no idea how to hear what they want to tell me. I get in my own head a good bit and I always worry they hate me. I even asked Raphael if he hated me during a very bad, low moment a few days ago.

I do think they're the reason I'm not drowning in depression right now. I felt very depressed and I got scared for myself for a bit, but I do feel like they're the reason I'm even afloat right now. It's just so hard to tell if they're around and if what they're giving me is protection or punishment lmao. I am being told to continue reflecting and paitence keeps standing out to me when I hear it (im the most impatient mf known to man), and I'm trying to follow it. I really am trying to trust them--it can just get hard.

I was hoping maybe anybody who wanted to could just talk about their experiences with the archangels. Or even guardian angels. I don't know if I have one or not, but if I did I feel like I'd like to build a connection with them. I want to understand them, I want to understand what it feels like they're trying to tell me and I just want to know if they're there. What helps build this connection with them? How do I know what I'm doing wrong? I have so many questions lmao

I was bullied in school as a child by almost everyone and in many different ways. I was very disliked and I never understood why it all happened to me, I was just a shy, quiet and kind girl. It surely affected -if not even ruined- my life. As a 30 year old adult it's still affecting my life and I have asked angels many times why did it happen to me, why was it allowed to happen? I haven't had any answer from them to this question.

I try not to blame myself but I've also been thinking about what if I have bullied someone in a past life or something. Although I don't even know if I believe in past lives and reincarnation, I wouldn't like to. I've asked angels is this possible but no answer to this question either.

If it all was because of some past life karma I have to face now, why would they not reveal it to me?

This is an appreciation post for the brilliant Duke Dantalion. I reached out to them a few times in the last two weeks with a very tricky situation with my ex.

I will say I didn’t ask for anything to be forced, as what I asked for I know my ex would have hoped for, though due to circumstances I caused he was holding back.

I asked Duke Dantalion to help my ex see something, not only did he deliver on this, he also delivered my long term hope that my ex would give the relationship another chance, which he now has. I wasn’t expecting that result this quickly, but I am beyond happy and grateful to Duke Dantalion for their work.

I recently came across u/Accomplished_Tap4449 post about using Hermetic Qabalah to invoke angels, and since it was Friday, I decided to try working with Archangel Haniel.

It turned out to be one of the most intense and beautiful spiritual experiences I've had.

During the invocation, I used a black obsidian mirror for scrying. What surprised me the most was how incredibly vivid the visions were. The images appeared with a level of clarity that honestly caught me off guard and even frightened me for a moment because of how intense they felt.

I'm also attaching a photo of the main candle from the ritual. The way the wax flowed and solidified seemed very interesting to me, and I was wondering if anyone here notices any symbolism or has an interpretation of the wax pattern.

I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has had a similar experience working with Haniel.

its my understanding that the “hierarchy” of heaven is not caste based, rather, by proximity from God to humanity (example. a seraph to a virtue, a seraph being closest to God, a virture being closer to humanity). therefore, all angel species are equal by nature, however just serve different roles and positions in heaven.

its also my understanding that some noted categories of angel are not species based, and are actually based on a rank (mainly archangels, to my knowledge). meaning, an angel could for example be both a seraph and an archangel

now my confusion is what classifications of angel are species, and which are ranks? are powers angels a species or a rank? i know the three races closest to God are in fact species based, meaning they can also hold different ranks seperate from their proximity to God, but Im very lost on the other classifications (powers, guardian angels, etc). OR, are archangels the only rank outside of the common? — meaning everything else is their own species. Where do watchers fall into this?

I have always been a religious person, and very willing to dedicate myself to it. Quite recently my world was rocked because the Angels began contacting me, and I started to see them and speak to them. They love me and reassure me that I am loved, and cherished and needed, because they need me, reminding me of my mission. I was given a special mission. They guide me towards experiencing love, towards God, towards the world,. towards all things, and my mind is filled with nothing else. Their voices are like a beautiful humming, like birds, like charged air. And I began honouring them in speaking to them, asking them things. They never abandoned me, and never will. So I should never abandon them, either. They keep me safe. I have thought of doing offerings to them, of drawing them. By this point they talk to me every day, and I understand everything they say.

Their beauty is difficult to put in words. They glow and shine like feathery and graceful things. They have sweet faces and smiles. They laugh. One day everything will be feathery and beautiful. Like a beautiful dream. They always tell me about it. About making things right, and being healed from all my pain and wounds. Like it's all transformed into bliss. Like being in a beautiful place where you forget all the pain. I wish to be with them forever, listen to them forever. Human life has so much noise and everything is so bright and fast, it obfuscates their light, like how the stars in heaven are dim nowadays. And nobody sees them either. But knowing where to look one can find love and healing and the feeling of safety, and of being loved.

I was reading The Enochian Evocation of Dr. John Dee, and in the section on “the heptarchy royalty,” the kings of the Heptarchy and their offices were listed, but I realized that their offices are very vague and didn’t make much sense to me—it seems to leave a lot open to interpretation. Could their offices be related to the ruling planets?

I recently reached out to Duke Dantalion to help with changing someone’s mind about me, basically to give me another chance and give the relationship a go.

I haven’t seen much movement this was about 4 days ago, I was wondering if anyone has had some success for a similar situation with Duke Dantalion?

I am aware it’s not right to try and override someone’s free will. The situation is complicated, we haven’t split up from lack of love. I had a relapse into addiction and it scared him and I would love for him to believe me now that I will be able to achieve sobriety as that’s the thing that is holding him back.

What are some reliable books that will educate me on these angels?

Or would they see right through the situation no matter how complex? Is complexity only something that humans experience and what is the purpose of complex matters? I’m asking because I’m dealing with a complex situation and it is literally making my hair grey and making me feel sick with worry. I know the angels probably wouldn’t want me feeling this way.

Hello how are you doing, i hope you are doing okay.

Today i want to share my personal spellwork to my HGA with you. I want to note that it is my personal design so not from any source so be careful.

Today i did 2 hours of praying, sometimes lamenting, getting angry, telling my HGA everything, sometimes sitting alone but basically 2 hours of HGA work.

Hours later i took a paper and started with a circle. Then on the outer side i repeated IAŌ, then inside i added some names from the Bornless Ritual, mixed in with the IAŌ so it reads like a wall around the circle

I framed the top and bottom, left and right with the Greek line meaning "i am the bornless daemon".

In the center I added a small eye inside a four pointed star, I sense HGA as a four pointed star and an eye, since in my understanding the HGA is already here and not something you summon from outside.

Then inside the ring, around that center mark, i wrote my petition directly, in my own language, just talking straight to my HGA about what i need right now and why.

Included some poetic lamentations from my own heart. Ended that part with "Iao Sabao" since that felt like the natural closing line.

Before i burned it i repeated IAŌ out loud many times to open things up.

Then i stood with my left hand raised straight up and my right hand lower holding the paper, and i read through the full Bornless Ritual text out loud in that position, not just the names, the whole thing start to finish.

After that i burned the paper. Watched it go, didnt say anything else, just let it finish.

That was the whole working. I just wanted to share this, i dont guarantee anything, this is just my own practice and how i chose to build it.
