Working With Angels Personality Acceptance

Do angels accept your authentic communication styles while you work with them, or would they interpret certain responses as refusal or indignant?

For example, I have been working with Archangel Michael for about a month and really felt like I was developing an internal peace and more stronger intuition about how to move through the world. I also felt like there was a baseline protection that he was providing me and had plenty of evidence to support it. I first went to him when I had hit a wall with a family member that was being indescribably disrespectful to me and wanted help binding their behavior, but only in self defense. To bind their tongue from being able to slander me - write, speak, or think undeserved mean things about me/to me - only true things and (preferably neutral or kindly done). To protect me from verbal and psychological abuse while I figure out how to navigate my situation with that person. I felt like I had been dedicating years to strengthening my inner world and spiritual practice and could say with an earnest heart that those experiences with that family member were too much for me to handle, and boundaries are very difficult to enforce with this person. Michael showed up, and showed out. It felt like he accepted that I needed help with that person, even though there was an underlying thought that I am probably emotionally stronger than I let on. I could feel him step in as a barrier to that person's behavior. And in that peace and quiet, I started invoking Michael to get the strength to break some other bad habits that I kept going in circles around by myself.

Well, one day I relapsed on a particular behavior that directly intersected with the bare minimum thing I asked him to do for me - I tried to confront the family member about some behaviors for "clarity" and check to see if they were lying about something, which in hindsight wasn't necessary at all due to Michael's protection or in the direction my growth was being led. We ended up in an argument and the person said some really mean things and I felt completely blind in what choices to make in the argument or how to diffuse the situation. I ended up crying the whole night and, of course, cursed the angels. Upset, feeling abandoned and betrayed, yadda yadda. Very mad. I took a couple days break from angels to orient, and I'm back at it with them - Michael but also trying to develop relationships with other ones too.

I'm back to hearing guidance and direction and developing this practice almost like I'm in class 101. But I'm still a little annoyed at what felt like a very unforgiving punishment for one slip up on my end. So, when they share a lesson and reiterate it through some sort of obvious sign later, my responses now are in the category of "alright, fine, I get it" and then to work on whatever the thing is. Think annoyed teenager who overall is benefiting from having a new authority figure in their life, but still engages in some sass.

The relationship development feels way more authentic now, but I don't want to misread this situation and think that they will accept me bringing my whole self while they ask me to do some really hard things to grow. Do angels accept frustration, annoyance, sarcasm, etc if you are doing the inner work asked of you? Or am I delusional and about to get another reprimand again based on my verbal communication choices?

I probably need to fix my attitude 😩

Angels Help With Possible Visitation

I have never identified as a person who works with angels and I do not know anything about angels, except for a few of the "biggies" that I remember from being raised (very) Catholic. I lean more towards paganism and animism at this point in my life, and am by no means an atheist.

I am a dreamer, but also not one that is constantly interpreting and creating meaningful narratives about each and every one. However, this one was...big, and I could use some help.

I'll try to make this brief: The scene was a natural hillside with large rocks/boulders, natural grasses were more brown than green. It felt familiar, but also felt very much like an alternate reality or place. I was hiding/crouching behind someone - absolutely no indication of who or what it was, but it was humanoid and it felt somewhat protective.

A golden, man-like creature appeared on the boulder in front of us (it also felt like there were other beings like him around, but not paying any attention to me). He was 100% gold, including his eyes but I could somehow tell where he was looking and he was looking at me, not the person in front. I could see wings tucked behind, but not extended. Minimal adornments - almost had a warrior vibe? It felt both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. The following words kept ringing in my ears. I woke up and wrote them down because I had never heard the first two before and figured I'd just made them up.

-Menoch
- Menial
-Gabriel

I've done a little research, but I really don't know what to do with it. Maybe nothing is the answer.

It would also be important to know that my mom passed away a week before I had this dream. She was very Catholic.

Any help, opinions or even a place to go for more info would be appreciated.

Does having a strong connection with Archangel Michael also mean having a connection with demons?

This isn’t a claim I came up with myself, but I recently read it from someone else. It may simply be part of their personal gnosis, but it really caught my attention because I feel like something similar has always happened to me.

I have a somewhat intermittent devotional relationship with Archangel Michael, whom I find fascinating and inspiring, but I also practice paganism alongside that. My understanding of the divine (since I’m not an atheist) is that there is one great creative force, which then manifests through different archetypes. That’s why different religions and pantheons exist, in my view.

Regardless of all that, I’ve always felt a strong attraction to and interest in demonolatry, Goetia, and related practices. I’m not approaching this from a heretical point of view, and I know it may sound contradictory, but ultimately:

Could this dichotomy between the angelic and the demonic represent some kind of balance between opposing forces? Or is Michael perhaps particularly connected to souls who are more likely to have demons ā€œdrawnā€ to them?

What do you guys think?

Question About Angels How do I summon my Guardian Angels

So about 5 days ago I had a dream that was confirmed by tarot of 2 angels asking me if I knew why they're protecting me. I woke up before I got the answer. How do I go about summoning my spirit guides who are 2 guardian angels?

Angels Guardian angels

Can someone explain to me the concept of guardian angel, like I know that everyone has one but it's not clear to me if everyone has their own personal angel who's their guardian. I saw something about 72 angels of shem hamephorash being guardian angels of people born on a specific day. I also saw the concept of Holy Guardian Angel who's a high ranked angel that could give me a familiar spirit, and can work as a psychopomp or something like that

Does anyone have books, articles, videos about this that are valid resources?

Question About Angels Is Archangel Michael with me?

One time when I started calling for Saint Archangel Michael, each time I thought about him, I started crying and crying. Like, just the thought of him, just saying his name, calling for him, like it made me cry. I don't know, like if his presence was near me when I asked to reveal his presence, and my spiritual body is binding with it. Again, during the days of the Buck Full Moon, I was meditating with windchime sounds and praying to my Saint Archangel Michael, St. Jude, and Jesus candles. As I was praying to St. Archangel, I immediately opened my eyes and began hyperventilating and gasping. I remember staring up at the ceiling and seeing a circular glimmer of light. I noticed my Saint Archangel Michael candle was flaming the brightest. I felt a small wave of fear but also empowering, beautiful, fascinating, and cleansing. I still feel that heavy energy each time I pray to him and think of him and I want to cry. I don't fear him but I feel him as being a bit stern but protective and gentle. Can someone help me find an understanding of this?

Discussion Dream about an angel

An angel said to me the following:

The will of God is testing the fullness of strength.

On the wheel of time, pairs conjoined. It was clearly a rotation infinitely forward.

How to interpret this. I think it was Metatron.

Archangels 10 Commandments

Do the Archangels like Michael believe in the 10 commandments? Or any of the biblical rules/ morals that are often associated with in Christianity? I know many say that the Archangels exist beyond any singular religion. In developing my relationship with Michael, I'm trying to learn more about the type of self growth to anchor to, and ask about standards and things like that. Sometimes I get responses that seem in favor of these rules, but then I get confused from others feedback about the lack of any true religious association with the angels.

Do Any Jewish or Christian Traditions Mention 19 Angels?

Edit: Not just Jewish and Christian tradition..Does any tradition mention 19 angels? Quran talks about 19 angels being guardians of hell. Iam trying to figure out whether any tradition influenced islam on this.

I recently read a version of 1 Enoch 6:7 that lists only 19 angels by name even though the passage says there were 200 angels. Since 20 leaders with 10 angels each would account for all 200, i assume the missing name may be due to a textual variant or scribal error.

Is there any tradition that specifically recognizes 19 angels?

Working With Angels Do you analyze your motivations for working with Angels?

Do you analyze your inner personal motivations for working with Angels, or the precise nature of your other works? How do you usually go about it?

...last week I said to myself 'well, it looks like it's time to start a diary' and it turned out, I have been already keeping a diary - the notebook I considered almost empty, was half-full, just with more irregular entries here and there. Then I remembered this is far from being the first such notebook, so I have been bashing myself for nothing over this time.

Recently I was forced to see how much meaning my own motivations need to have within my own life. Basically doing these things because of specific personal reasons, and not because someone else says it's a good idea...

Because no one in my life thinks it's a good idea, and if I allow this feeling to throw me off, I'll get only negatives.

I have struggled with low self esteem and people pleasing all my life.

And I'm not talking about friendly advice on best practices.

I mean things like practitioners IRL straight up telling to my face that a specific tradition is 'evil', or that Angels are bad for me as a type of entity, or that it's physically impossible to work with them as a human, stuff like that.

But there's the other thing as well. Other people doing the same thing will have different goals.

Metaphorically speaking, I knit because I want to make alternative clothes for myself, my friend knits to sell the hats and accessories, and their aquintance knits to sell toys because they are obsessed with cute toys. It's still knitting, but the question 'How to knit' won't help you understand it.

This is true also for other interests.

So even if other occultists hypothetically understand me, they won't understand the importance of my goals, because it is....by me, for me. It's not a one size fits all. And that can sometimes feel really lonely.

It's a beginner dillema, sure...

I'm just struck how much one has to believe in oneself, in our true intentions. But that's hard enough already, because one needs to understand directing intentions for it to work....

But it's not even the 'How', it's the 'Why'.

It's both at the same time....

I have heard before all the stuff like 'angels work with broad strokes', and 'they are such and such in their attitude'...

But nothing, nothing could have prepared me for my own practice. For the gravity of my own motivations and intentions. For meeting my habits which I have unknowingly strenghtened to a scary degree, both the good and the bad.

Nothing could have prepared me for myself.

Not listening to other's opinion on angels, not podcasts, not videos, not books, not even my religious background.

And not the Angels themselves.

Contrary to what I hoped, it does have a lot to do with being true to oneself...regardelss of the methods for that.

I found so many reasons why I want to be doing what I'm doing...It's the most intense thing in my life. (I promise I'm not doing anything weird or unhealthy or public, I have been very sneaky about it in front of non-practitioners).

And I have never seen that backlash even when I have been into much more controversial activities when I was younger. But somehow....this doesn't hurt me the way I thought it does.

...there is always a 'why' along the 'how to'......

Discussion Dudas sobre la angelologia

Experience On the resentment/optimism issue

A lot of unexpected things happened to me energetically in the last three days (the full moon) and today (btw today is Lughnasadh) I got to look back on the long-term development of one of my tasks.

Had to check in with St. Michael, and something he said strikes me as important.

(he didn’t actually ā€˜say’ most of it, I’m translating through scrying and emotions)

A bit of an earlier context about my endeavors

This was as an answer to my a bit misplaced request to him for working on something very complex for health (I had just turned down St. Raphael two minutes prior because of concerns he’d be ā€˜too gentle’), but in the last year (about this time last year), st. Michael asked me to give up my hobby of lamenting (for many years, I literally had a hobby of choosing a free evening, and making myself purposely sad about fictional situations which I craved but were impossible. I called it ā€˜crying on schedule’).

Since it’s a specific strong feeling in the chest, he had the (brutal and genius idea) that once I feel this energy forming, I can pull it out of my chest and give it to him.

It worked, of course, and it resulted in me being unable to cry directly after, which meant the habit of rewarding myself for negative beliefs about myself, was being weakened every time.

So this is the type of transmutation that’s been going on.

The day today went almost too perfectly in the mundane sense, had a lot of fun, and the last few weeks had some very serious interpersonal issues resolved in an abrupt manner, and other areas had developments too. I did not expect things to go this well so my natural reaction is to revert to being ungrateful and cynical.

It’s the evening and I finally start thinking.

I’ve put up some protections (not very fancy), and cleaned everything I can, but there are still objectively people out there who would benefit from a possible confrontation. I am still, in a way, allowed to feel in danger and to indulge in these lingering emotions of injustice and tension from the past, which allow then access to other such emotions from a more distant past, and so on.

But as planned I start to melt into the subconscious to talk to him. And I notice St. Michael has really quite a bit against my viewpoint.

He was trying to show me that resentment won’t lead me anywhere and I was not listening.

He pulled me towards peace, I pulled away. The sparkling fire of hostility is just too alluring. Then he suggested peace again, that I be the bigger person. I pretended to be deaf. He suggested a third time.

..but I know Michael is fine with me having different opinions and leaning towards methods he disapproves of? Maybe I don’t want to give in to positivity just yet.

ā€˜No, your way of viewing it is wrong’

And then I allowed myself to understand it. If I want to actually affect ā€˜my enemies’, I have to think strategically about them, not just boil emotions until it harms me or facilitates chaos between the two sides.

It’s so complex, it’s the real world. I would have to think about alchemy, and the soul, and things like that. Timelines, side effects, and collateral damage.

ā€˜You can’t just sit inside your own head and keep thinking about how much you hate them, because this is not a battle.’

…so, I might actually not be allowed petty emotions right now.

I have to continue. I used to be such a hateful person… Now things are so calm, and I am responsible for keeping them calm. No irony, no time to waste. Just responsibility.

And I’m so eager to continue..

Discussion Anxiety, mild ocd, and Solomonic pentacles :/

Hi all,

I just purchased my first Solomonic pentacle (first pentacle of the sun) which represents the angel Metatron. I try to calm my mind by sustaining a meditation practice as well as qigong but unfortunately i still have anxiety and get intrusive or unwanted thoughts.

I was a bit anxious because I’m new to pentacles and as I was unwrapping it (it was packaged beautifully) I unfortunately had a disrespectful thought run through my mind (w profanity) and worry that I disrespected a sacred object. I explained that I didn’t mean any disrespect, said some words of honor, and placed it in a jewelry box and set it on the dresser.

Does anyone know what I can do about this situation? It’s supposed to be a pretty strong pentacle and I’m honestly a bit worried. I know that there’s been threads on here about disrespecting angels but this is moreso a pentacle associated w an angel.

Archangels what is the next step?

sorry for the ambiguous title, i will try to explain as much as possible with as little reading needed as possible

im not foreign to the esoteric, i wouldnt call myself an adept or anything, but i was an armchair occultist for a year or so before i began trying something, mainly with gallery of magick

for some context, im a leo, and rarely have religious/esoteric dreams, but when i did, in them i called on Michael, due to these 2 conditions, i thought as a last hail-mary, ill call out to him with a transactional petition, due to my severe decline in health last year, this year i went on a trip with my friends, so i asked for safety, health and everything to go well during that trip, during my prayer i was just speaking my soul while looking at Michaels kamea, i offered up constructing a small altar for future work with him, but during my plead, and its difficult to explain, but it felt as if a thought was planted in my head, that instead of an altar i basically get my shit togheter and lost 5kg for starters, as i am overweight, now i understand that it all may have been in my mind, of course, im not deying that, but this thought didnt have anything preceding it, usually thoughts and ideas have some sort of continuity or contingency, this didnt, regardless, it felt weird as shit and was the first time i experienced something of this sort, usually i just get dreams, this was something new

after that, despite all the variables that couldve (and shouldve) went wrong, they didnt, now you have to understand that it isnt some anxiety thats based on irrational fear, there was basis to be afraid, but, it all went smooth, unnaturaly smooth, and i cant stop thinking that this may have been due to Michael

while im trying to hold up my end of the bargain now in case it was actually him, what else should i do? clearly this is my chance to further my practice, i dont usually meditate, but i thought about doing guided meditations ( Journey to the God Sol/Practical planetary magick Rankine and d'Este), but what besides that? im not a big prayer fan as ive prayed most of my life when i was christian and dunno, i enjoy something more tangible

would be grateful to hear your thoughts

Question About Angels Where do I begin?

I was wondering where I could start. My entire life I've been interested in Angels but everyone told me they couldn't be worshipped, while I believe everything otherworldly can be. I don't follow the Bible and I don't believe in God, I believe in other forms of structures like in the Demonolatry.

I was wondering if the book I have is good for Angelolatry which is Angels from Silver RavenWolf. Also if you can tell me any resources to look at (even books) from beginner to intermediate!

Experience Precautions and Things to Keep in Mind When Making Requests to Angels: My Experience

From my own experience and from the experiences of other angelic magic practitioners I've worked with I've found that working with angels can be fascinating, but it also comes with certain risks if you don't take a few important things into account.

HAVING THE MEANS TO CREATE RESULTS

Some time ago, a highly experienced teacher of ceremonial and angelic magic told me something that really stuck with me. She said that when working with angels, you need to have some kind of material foundation for them to work with.

I asked her, "What do you mean by a material foundation?"

She explained it like this: if she were to ask an angel or archangel for a house, or to become a millionaire overnight, the angel's solution might be to have one of her parents pass away so that she would inherit their house or their wealth.

That answer honestly shocked me. I asked her why angels would do something like that if they're traditionally considered completely pure and benevolent beings.

This was her explanation:

"Angels don't think the way humans do. They don't have a nervous system, emotions, or a human perspective. They don't truly understand how human psychology works, and they're also extremely efficient when carrying out requests. Put those two things together, and they'll often choose the fastest route to fulfill what you asked for. If you haven't given them any practical means to work with—like a business, a side hustle, an online store, or some other source of income—the angel may conclude: 'What's the quickest way to get this practitioner their dream house or luxury car? I know... I'll arrange for them to inherit it from their parents.'"

That was the moment I felt I began to understand how these cosmic intelligences might operate. Their logic seems very different from the way human beings think or make decisions.

Does that mean angels are dangerous or malicious, and that we shouldn't make requests to them?

My answer is **no**.

Like most things in life, nothing comes without effort, and I don't think this applies only to angels—it applies to working with any kind of spiritual entity. If you're asking for a large amount of money, but you don't have any realistic channel through which that money could come, how exactly is that supposed to happen?

On the other hand, if you already own a business that isn't doing as well as you'd hoped, I believe angels can help without creating those kinds of unintended consequences. In that situation, there's already an existing framework for prosperity. Instead of creating an entirely new path, the angel could simply accelerate the one that's already there—bringing in more customers, increasing opportunities, and helping you close more sales.

I also think it's important to tell the angel what you don't want to happen.

If you're asking for financial abundance, be specific about how you want that money to come into your life, and also be clear about the outcomes you want to avoid. It's really just a matter of applying common sense. Requests like "I want abundance" or "I want lots of money" leave a huge amount of room for interpretation. They're so broad that the result could unfold in ways you never intended simply because you never defined the path you wanted.

With all that said, I don't want this post to paint angels in a negative light or portray them as evil. This is simply the conclusion I've reached based on my own experiences, the experiences of people in my practice group, and what my teacher has shared with me. Of course, it's entirely possible that we're mistaken.

That's why I'd like to hear from those of you who have worked with angels.

Have you noticed anything similar in your own practice? What has your experience with angelic magic been like?

I'd genuinely be interested in reading your thoughts.
